He still kept his soft and sweet Nick side as he dropped her off, when she gave him a kiss goodbye in those seconds he forgot about the raging  nerves he is feeling about going to go meet with his father "call me"  she whispered giving him another peck "promise you're going to answer  this time" she giggled "I promise" he knew she meant it as she looked  into his eyes and then finally she turned around and got out he watched  her walked up to her house and disappear behind the door.

Just  like that no longer having her presence, the harsh reality that is  waiting for him began attacking his mind, as he got closer to the house  his heart began pounding.

He is a man of no fear that's why he is  the leader of this game he got thrown in since he was a kid; everyone  fears him and his ways of not having emotion when it comes to handling  his own.

But the only man that scares him shitless is the one that gave him life.

When  he pulled into the driveway the guys were already waiting by the van,  he got out and the four pair of eyes were looking at him with vengeance  cause he got them in some deepshit but none of them dared to say  anything, yet....he just got in the van and they made their way to the  hidden place Jonas sr. handles his business.

The atmosphere so  thick with tension as they enter through the doors the guys stayed  behind him as they walked in, keeping his head held high even though he  felt like a sardine in a tank filled with sharks.

"What is wrong  with you boy?!" they all came to halt when the shout of his dad  penetrated them, he swallowed the lump in his throat as he met with his  dad's eyes trying not to show weakness "you fucking call yourself a  Jonas when you can't even show up to a job I specifically choose you  for!"

"I- I..." his tongue getting tied like it always does when  he tries to speak to his father "you made us lose a tone of money  Nicholas! That job would've made us not do any other job for the next  six months at least but you fucked up".

All the guys lowered their heads down.

"You  call yourself my son, when you can't even do that and your joke of a  gang can't even get a hold of you, sometimes I think your pathetic" the  anger igniting in him but he knows better than to say anything stupid  "it won't happen again" was all he could say.

"Your damn right it  won't!" he spat back quickly "now just get out of my sight, and next  time answer your damn phone when a job is calling no matter what, that's  what a true leader does!"

With that his old man walked away, this is all his relationship with his father consist of.

Disappointment  that's all he can see in his father's eyes, not a single sign of love  towards his son was shown...it never has; he stood still as the words  came crushing down into his mind, "let's go" Nick quickly shook away the  pain running along the veins that went straight to his heart.

"Not  until you tell us where you were" Zac stepped in front of the guys who  didn't have the guts to confront him at this moment knowing very well  that he wasn't in the mood to talk; Nick stopped in his track as he  turned around to face the lifeless eyes of Zac, "well...".

He  stood in front of the guys he had learned to call family, each pair of  eyes showed a different type of emotion; "where else would he be, he has  been with that girl from the jewelry store" Logan glared at Nick coldly  while trying to hide the fact that he was more hurt than angry, "ever  since the little plan, he has been smiling like an idiot" he continued  as Nick quickly realized that by spending so much time with Selena he  had forgotten about the guys that lived out of the jobs they did, "was I  the only one that noticed".

"Is it true, Nick" Ian intervened  noticing the confusion along his face, "is that why you didn't answer  because you were with her".

"It doesn't matter, I messed  up...let's move on" he sighed in frustration as he tried to ignore the  cold stares he was getting from his best friends.

"It does  matter because thanks to her we're in deep shit with your father" Ian  yelled taking himself by surprise, "what is going with you man?" he  sighed hoping to get something out of him.

"Don't you dare blame  her, it was my decision to not answer the dam phone" he whispered  harshly knowing very well that everything he said was being recorded by  the many cameras surrounding the area; "are you guys coming or not" he  yelled angrily as he started walking back towards the van.

They  knew he had fallen, if it wasn't obvious before...it was pretty obvious  now, she was quickly changing him into something he wasn' suppose to be  and it was worrying all of them including Nick; "don't worry guys, that  little relationship won't last, you'll see" Logan said in a low voice as  they followed right behind Nick.
