Her phone beeped as she buttoned up her coat walking over to her night stand. She picked it up and touched the little message symbol, "Lets hang out" it read, from Taylor. She replied with a yes and smiled, surprisingly her best friend wasn't traumatized or still scared with the whole robbery incident but Taylor has always been like that, fearless.

She walked down the stairs only to stop midway when she notice the police officer sitting on the couch across from her dad. "Selly, I was just coming to get you" her dad said. She continued her way down; "What's going on?" she asked even though she knows exactly what's going on. They're here for some questioning, "We just need to get a statement your father wants to continued the case and we do too. We have some leads on some robberies that have been going on and they might be connected in some way," the policeman informed her.

"Honestly I still don't feel ready for all this I already told the others that I don't know anything," feeling nervous.

"There must be something, you didn't catch a name? Something that might have slipped out?" she looked down; of course she knows the names specially Logan and Nick. Shaking her head "No, nothing I'm sorry." Her dad let out a sigh, she turned to look at him.

"I'm sorry daddy, let's just let this go I just want to forget it."

The policeman put his notepad away. "Let me have a talk with your father then," she nodded.

"Alright, I'm going to go out for a walk with Taylor, okay?"

Mr. Gomez still worried gave her hand a squeeze as she walked away.

Nick sat on the table closest to the window hoping that today she would show up to the café, since it's been two days since the last time he saw her. His eyes focusing out the window, looking at all the people walking by then like that his eyes captured her walking down the opposite sidewalk. Her hands deep in her coat pockets as the autumn breeze blew her hair back. He couldn't help but smile at the sight of her; noticing she wasn't going to stop by, he quickly pulled out a five dollar bill and left it on the table and rushed out, crossing the street. He was a few feet behind her not knowing how to approach her so he just decided to go for it. He walked a little fast bumping his shoulder against hers not to rough or hard, "Hey!"

He heard her shout in annoyance, turning "Oh, I'm sorry-.." her brown eyes twinkled a little "it's you" she said dropping her hand from her shoulder.

"We meet again," Nick grinned.

They stood there for a second letting silence take over, "I was heading to the park, want to join me" she said while putting a strand of hair behind her ear; her brown eyes locked with his as he stood there deciding if he should go or not.

"You can say no," her enchanting laugh sent a warm feeling down his spine.

"I'd love to," he chuckled while putting his cold hands into his jean pockets.

As they made their way down the sidewalk Nick couldn't help but notice the way her hair would fall from behind her ear and land perfectly along the outline of her porcelain skin.

"So how do you like the city?" she interrupted his thoughts.

His eyes quickly drifted off her face as she turned her attention to him; "I-I umm it's alright." He tried to get rid of the nervousness running through his body, "I'm more of a small town type of guy." He shrugged while looking ahead of him, trying hard not to look at her welcoming bright brown orbs.

"Sorry to ask but what made you move over here..." she asked right when Nick's phone started ringing.

Nick let out a small laugh as he took the phone out of his pocket, "Sorry..." he said while answering the phone call that saved him from answering her; he needed to do things carefully and honestly he didn't planned on what to tell her if she ever asked certain questions.

"What's up..." he let out a much needed sigh.

"You need to come back; a job just came up," Zac's voice resonated through the other line, "right now".

"I'll be there in five..." he quickly clicked as he turned his gaze back to Selena, "I have to go," his voice sounded disappointed.

Selena's face softened as she noticed the disappointed in his eyes; "Oh okay" she said while giving him her best smile, "Maybe some other time."

"Yea..." he mumbled while contemplating if he should ask for her number.

She laughed as he watched him nervously bit down on his lip.

"Here let me give you my number," he sighed hearing those magical words leave her parted lips.

"Yea..." he laughed nervously as they quickly exchanged numbers, "I'll give you a call."

"I'll be waiting," her soft voice put a smile on his face, "Bye."

She took him by surprise by quickly giving him a soft embrace.

Her slim figure soon disappeared into the depths of the city as he stood there foolishly watching her walk away, "You're so screwed Nicholas," he whispered to himself as he turned back to the direction of reality.
