                                              i thought you could take the pain away:
                          save me 
                          i cried 

                          you threw a rescue rope 
                          into a dark cavern 
                          dangled it above me 
                          just out of my reach 
                          then 
                          as soon as i'd finally caught hold 
                          you let go 
                          maybe you couldn't handle the weight 
                          of all the baggage i was carrying
