i can't do this alone

i need help

a shoulder to cry on

a friend

someone to help me

shatter the shackles

that are withholding me

from flying

for once in my life

i want to feel

'okay'

i'm not asking for happiness

just to be

'okay'

is all i ask.

~ does that make me selfish?
