Ch. 16 Ash vs Virgil

Ash pov
Today is the day of the 3rd Round, or the Top 16 Round,Gary defeated Trip in the first battle 3-2, Lyra defeated her opponent 3-1, Iris defeated Stephan 3-1. Paul defeated Sawyer, and boy that was a battle, Sawyer used Sceptile, Ageislash, and Poliwrath, while Paul used Magmortar, Electivire and Weavile, both were down 2-2, but it was Paul who won it, as Sceptile proved no match for Magmortar. Now im up, against Virgil, and his Eevee team, I wonder who's he gonna use, I did make a team, and I think I can win.

"This battle is a 3 on 3 Pokemon Battle, between Ash of Pallet Town and Virgil of Vetress City, trainers choose your Pokemon", says the ref, "Go, Vaporeon", "Pikachu, I choose you", I say, calling on my PkMn Partner, who I trust without a shadow of a doubt, "battle begin", says the ref, "Vaporeon return", Virgil says, calling back his pokemon, "Go Bouldeon", says Virgil, who brings out a light-brown Pokemon with dark-brown hair, "woah, what's that pokemon?", I say, "Meet Bouldeon, a duel Ground/Rock- type Pokemon, a new Eeveelotion that was discovered in Unova", "woah, cool", "let's begin, Bouldeon, use Stone Edge", says Virgil, as Bouldeon releases it's attack, "Pikachu, use Dig to dodge", I say, as Pikachu digs a hole just in time, "no, I missed", says Virgil. "Pikachu, use Brick Break", I say, "Pikachu knows Brick Break?", says Virgil, as Pikachu shows himself and hits Bouldeon with Brick Break, "Bouldeon, are you ok?", "Pikachu, use Iron Tail", I say, "use Rock Tomb", Virgil says, as Bouldeon makes boulders fall, Pikachu come back, return", I say, as Pikachu dodges the attack, "good job buddy, get some rest", I say grabbing my next Pokeball, "Servine, I choose you", I say, "Bouldeon, use Sand Storm", says Virgil, "Servine, use Growth".

Serena pov
"What does Growth so again?", I ask, "Growth raises a grass-types attacks and Sp. Attacks" says Brock, "If Servine hits an attack, it'll be double damage, more than usual", says Max, "Treecko, we gotta learn that attack", "Treecko".

Ash pov
"Bouldeon, use Dig", says Virgil, and Bouldeon digs underground, "Servine, use Growth", I say, raising Servines', Attack and Sp. Attack. After a few seconds, Bouldeon hits Servine with Dig, but barely does damage, "use Leaf Tornado", I say, and Leaf Tornado hits Bouldeon and sends it rolling, "Servine, use Giga Drain", and Servine regains health, and Giga Drain makes Bouldeon faint, "no Bouldeon", says Virgil", "Bouldeon is unable to battle, Servine wins, trainer call out your next pokemon", "Servine return", I say recalling back Servine , "Vaporeon, go", "go Sceptile", Sceptile". Sceptile puts its twig in it's mouth, ready for battle, "Vaporeon, use Ice Beam", Sceptile, dodge and use Growth", I say, and Sceptile jumps out of Vaporeons sight and doubles its strength, "now, use Leaf Blade", I say, " Sceptile" says Sceptile, as it KOs Vaporeon, "Vaporeon is unable to battle, Sceptile wins, trainer choose your last pokemon".

Gary pov
Ash had been looking good in this competition, better than ever, he might win it this year, but he'll have to get by me and Paul, "so Paul, what do think of Ash?", "he's stronger than before, but so am I, and if he wants to win, he'll have to get by me first", says Paul, with a little smile, "yeah, and me too, that goes for you also", I say, as we both stare down eachother, "then let the best trainer win", says Paul, "I intend to buddy", I say.

Ash pov
"Go Jolteon", says Virgil, "Krookodile, I choose you", I say, "let this last round begin", says the ref, "Jolteon, use Shadow Ball", says Virgil, "Krookodile, use Dig", I say, so Krookodile digs his way into a hole, as Shadow Ball misses, "Jolteon, keep running, dont let him hit you", says Virgil, so Jolteon runs around the field, "Krookodile, use Bulldoze". The ground shakes, as if it's an earthquake, and Jolteon feels the attack, "Jolteon no" "Now, finish this up with Stone-Edge", I say, as Krookodile shows himself and fires it's attack, and KOs Jolteon, "Jolteon is unable to battle, Krookodile wins, that means Ash moves onto the Top 8", says the ref, and the crowd cheers.

Iris has won her battle against Stephan, pretty easily too, I expected her too, not many Dragon Tamers like her can be defeated, ask Lance and Clair. Right now im watching Cameron battling against Astrid with Gary and Paul, and Astrid is controling this match 5-3, as her Mega Absol looks undefeatable, defeating 3 of Camerons team, Cameron has Riolu left, but Riolu couldn't do it, as Mega Absol KOs Riolu, and Astrid defeats Cameron, "Riolu is unable to battle, Absol wins, that means Astrid takes the last spot of the Top 8". The crowd cheers, "now as per rules, starting now, every battle will be 6 on 6 full battles, but for now, the competitors will have the next 2 days off to rest and prepare, but for now, let's see who'll face each other in the Top 8". The pictures start shuffling around, for a few seconds, and stops, revealing the next match-ups, "up first is Gary vs Astrid", so I loom at Gary, and lets just say, he's a little unenthusiastic, "then its Paul vs Lyra", ..... poor Lyra, "with Lucus vs Brendan right after that", so I see that only 2 people are left to face each other, me and Iris, "and last match will be Ash vs Iris". Woah, I gotta face Iris, a really good friend, "alright, I face Ash, finally a good opponent to battle", I hear Iris say, so I turn around, "yeah, the fun starts now, let the best trainer win", I say, extending my hand, as she takes it, "yes, the best trainer will win, and it's gonna be me", says Iris, "I don't think so".
