I stood in front of batman, Aqualad by my side
I felt twelve years old again like this man still held control over my life. But standing there staring
him down I relized he didn't. He did not have control over my life, I was my own man and he had absolutely nothing to do with it. So I looked him in the eye, not as his sidekick but as hero in my own right and I gave him my mission briefing . I did not blink, I looked directly into the bat glare
and I did not back down. He was the embodiment of my inner demons and I faced him.
I did not blink.
