Chapter 4 - A turn for the worst

the next morning Fp was awoken but his son shuffling around in the kitchen, so Fp decided to join him in doing so, where he was met by a puzzled Jughead saying"how did i end up here? " his dad looked up and replied with "your friend uhh Alexa she dropped you off last night because you were so drunk" and giggled as he ended his sentence Jughead stood there stunned at what he had just been told " wow i can't believe i let myself go like that i won't let it happen again.... like EVER" and then proceeded to say "thanks for letting me crash here anyway dad anyway i'll grab some clothes from my old room and head to school don't wanna be late even if i am ahead in all of my classes " and with that the boy headed for his room and then to school.

throughout the day Fp kept the girl he was mesmerised by in the back of his mind and occasionally he day dreamed about her the few minutes he had aside from gang work such seeing who was worthy enough of going on errands and runs for the gang to profit from but some how this girl kept coming up and he didn't know how to stop it . little did he know he would see the girl sooner than he thought

Alexa on the other-hand just carried on with her day as normal that was until she arrived home when she got into the house and shook off her boots she was about to began her ascent up the stairs when she was met by her mother's voice explaining "Alexa!! come into the kitchen please your father and i have something to tell you " Alexa replied with a groan followed by "he's not my real dad thou-" she was cut off by the sharp sting of a slap , the girl instantly held the side of her face and snapped back with "jeezus, shit was that really necessary" "watch your mouth and he's all we got ever since ur deadbeat dad up and left so yes he is your dad " Alexas brushed it off as nothing and continued to say "what was it you wanted to talk to me about mom" through gritted teeth and a fake smile painted on her face a red hand print beginning to form

well that's the thing sweetie David and i have had some trouble financially and i hate to say it but we're going to have to move to the southside potentially even a trailer it that bad" Alexa had felt so many emotions her jaw dropped and she stood staring at the kitchen counter top feeling excitement but also sadness becasue she knew she would have to say goodbye to her northside friends. all this time her mother had tried to protect the girl from what they were now headed to.

after a few moments of thinking her mother began talking again "i know its a lot to take in but its gonna be okay " the women began to try and embrace the girl but she pulled away and before another word could be spoken Alexa had already jumped in her car and began driving to the only place she knew she could let out her feelings .... the trailer the two jone's shared.

by this time the jones had resolved their differences and started stay with each other again which Alexa was thankful for she didn't really feel like going into a cramped drive in booth as she pulled up to the trailer park she noticed the old green truck was parked outside along with with the motorcycle that also belonged to Fp.

after a what felt like a few minutes the girl finally built up the courage to go and knock on the door so she lifted herself out of the white car covered in specks of dirt, she walked over to the bottom of the few steps that led to the trailer and climbed them before reaching the old battered door and knocked gently a few seconds later the door was opened to reveal a topless Fp the young girl blushed and turned away and used her hand as a shielding mechanism but couldn't help peeking Fp leaned against the door frame with his arms crossed and let out a small laugh but internally he was ecstatic to the girl he had been pining for all day his dream had come true

after a moment of awkward silence Fp spoke up " uhhh can i help you what was it again... ah Alexa" he had a smirk on his face but Alexa was unimpressed and smiled sadly and said "ya i was wondering if Jughead was in " she tried to look past the tall figure to see if her best friend was in but subtly until she was interrupted by Fp clearing his throat which made he look up "he just went out to run a few errands for me but your more than welcome to wait , he shouldn't be to much longer" Alexa thought for a few seconds before agreeing but only because it was just about to start raining the door slowly opened more allowing the girl in.

with caution the girl looked around awkwardly not knowing what to do whether she should stand or go sit down that was until Fp insisted for her to sit on couch that was nearly falling apart it was only duct tape holding it together when she sat Fp began trying to make conversation trying to not seem to eager to get to know the amazing girl sat in front of him and started off the conversation with the most obvious question "why are you here to see Jughead?" and thats what caused her to break down in to tears she had been holding it in for so long she couldn't take it anymore usually she wouldn't of done this because she presented herself as strong and unbreakable but for some reason she trusted this man enough for her to show her true emotions

"oh i-i um didnt mean to upset you Alexa i was just curious" he said as he edged closer to the girl deciding whether or not to embrace in a hug in the end he made the decision he should do it . not because he loved to be close to the girl but because he really did care about her and wanted her to be ok he pulled her into a hug expecting her to pull away but surprisingly she didn't she just stood there sobbing into his chest (he had managed to put a shirt on before this )she enjoyed his company it had been a long time since anyone had hugged her like this specifically her dad when she was 9 years old just before he left and never returned she felt like she never wanted to let go. the now caring man was stroking the girls shoulder length hair and whispered over and over "shh shh its ok"

eventually she began to calm down she looked up to the tall frame that was staring back down at her and whispered "thank you " as a tear rolled down her cheek he wiped it away and they just stood there in silence embracing and enjoying each others company until finally Fp said " now you wanna tell me what's making a pretty girl like you cry " with a small smile on his face she sat down and began to explain what was happening to her life being turned upside down

"well as you know my mom remarried this rich ass business man in hope she could start a new more luxury life" he replied with a silent nod "any way she just told me that business hasn't been doing very well and we're having to sell the house and move to the south-side which don't get me wrong is great and all but everything's gonna change i just know im gonna lose touch with all of my friends and nothings gonna be the same" tears began to well up in her eyes again but Fp stopped her by replying with "hmmm well i mean you could always make new friends right?" " i guess hey i suppose there's always gotta be a silver lining somewhere" with a smile beginning to creep up on her just as Fp was about to reply Jughead walked in with a confused look on his face.

"oh hey Alexa what are you doing here?" " oh i came to speak to you but your dad helped me through it yano Jug your dad is actually really good at giving advise you should ask him sometime " she said with a small laugh escaping her lips causing Fp to smile " but anyway Jug i still need to talk to you so could we head to your room ?" "uhh sure you go ahead and i'll be right there" she did as she was told , she already knew where his room was because of the millions of times she had been there as a kid Jughead soon followed after curious to find out what was happening "so uh what was it you wanted to talk about ?" "well all ican say is you might be seeing more of me " with a grin on her face "WHAT your moving in with us" he began throwing his arms in the air in excitement she calmed him down and said " not exactly but i guess you could call us neighbours he he basically we're having some money problems and we have to move to the south-side so you will be seeing me a lot more but you won't be at the same time because i have to move to southside high" the boy looked at her in shock and replied with a simple "your gonna fit in just fine " with the biggest smirk on his face.

Alexa checked her phone to see it was getting later and decided to head home she hugged her friend and got up to walk out but just as she did she said "thanks again mr jones you really helped me today " in which he replied with "your most welcome maybe you can come around again sometime soon" as he winked
