(really slacking on updating and i'm so sorry i'm trying my best to update as much as i can but i appreciate all the support i get from this book none the less:)
A few days had passed and jughead was experiencing his first step into becoming a fully fledged serpent it all began with him taking ownership of the 'beast' as a sign of commitment so that night while Alexa slept soundly jughead was startled to see a line of serpents in masks to add more suspense to the situation once assigned all the young serpents left leaving the trailer to become quiet again
a lot later Alexa woke up to find a big fluffy dog lying next to her she sighed then smiled to herself she got up to find jughead at the table eating cereal she joined him and said "so how's taking ownership of the beast going for ya?" he groaned loudly "he's so slobbery a all he does is bark that was until i sent him to your room he magically stopped " she laughed "what can i say he must love me " he smiled back
she then changed the subject "so hows it going with these laws huh?" he shrugged "i'm really trying and i think i can do it " she nodded as she stared into her coffee "oh jughead what did your father manage to get himself into ?" he smirked and said "he managed to get into you " she nearly choked on her coffee but started laughing as she pointed at him "now that is true"
"so only two more trials till your in the serpents how does that feel?""i mean i feel great that i'm going to be taking after my dad but i know he didn't want this life for me he wanted me to get out of riverdale and not make the same mistakes he did" she smiled sadly at him "i hear ya but its your decision right?" he nodded as he put his bowl in the sink
"well i better head to school" she stood up too and said "i'll come as well i haven't been in for a few days i've just been so busy sorting serpent business " she said as she slipped on her jacket"hey did i tell you my mom moved back to the northside?" he nodded "yeh you told be after it happened i mean good riddance looks like she got a taste of her own medicine " they both laughed as Alexa and jughead got onto his bike and rode to school
At lunch Alexa decided to call Fp and see how things were see how he was holding up she picked up her phone and walked into the girls bathroom and began speaking when the phone was answered "hey Fp hows it goin?" he hummed a laugh "well i'm talking to you so its going great hows your day been?" she played with her hair as she paced the bathroom talking "same old same old boring lessons and shit " he laughed "when are you coming home i haven't seen or felt you in ages i miss you" he spoke sadly "i hope to be home soon baby i miss you too" she then spoke about jughead "oh yeh jughead has his initiation today reciting the laws" he thought for a minute then replied "i hope it goes ok let me know how it goes i've gotta go now " she answered "i will i love you i hope to see you soon " "i love you too bye" and with that the phone clicked and the call ended
Alexa sighed then walked back to the cafeteria where the younger serpents were sitting sweet pea speaking first "where did you run off to?" she sighed again "i was talking to Fp about jugheads initiation thats tonight hes got to recite the laws then get the knife and you favourite part the gauntlet all in one night " the boy smirked "oh thats tonight great i've been wanting to get that kid since he first met me" she scoffed "if you hurt that kid then all of our heads will be on steaks personally done by Fp so lay off him a little will ya" he mumbled a yeh and went back to talking to fangs and toni while Alexa sat thinking of ways to get her lover out of jail

time had passed and jughead had come to his second test as tallboy shouted in is face "What is the fourth law? ""No serpent is left for dead." jughead yelled back while everyone watched intently " What is the fifth law? ""A serpent never betrays its own." the final law was about to be recited " What is the sixth?" "In unity, there is strength." then everyone yelled in unison "In unity, there is strength!" then tall boy said to him lowly" You know the laws. Now it's time for the next trial. Retrieve the knife." Alexa smirked as jughead rapidly retrieved the knife but not quick enough for the snake it lunged and caught jugheads hand he quickly retracted it and held the hand dripping in the red substance he made his way up to the bar where Alexa and toni wait with a bandage as he wrapped up his hand he complained
" Rattlesnake, Toni.The rattle snake bit me and drew blood." the two girls stood smirking "One that had its venom glands removed." they said in unison"The important thing is you showed no fear.You grabbed the knife and you remembered all the laws." Alexa then said "Which means you're almost a Serpent now, Juggie. now you only have one more trial to partake in and your a fully fledged serpent boy would your dad be proud " he smiled sadly "i hope so" "i know so" and with that they carried on with their night jughead unsuspecting of what the final challenge would be to becoming a southside serpent and following in his dads footsteps
