when Alexa woke up she was lying on the ground where she had sat hugging jughead but she had a blanket over her she sat up abruptly causing her head to spin from the all the crying she had done the previous night her hand went to her forehead in some hope that could stop it "oh my god it feels like i've been hit by a truck"then she heard a familiar voice from in front of her , her eyes diverted to the couch where jughead was situated with his head in his hands "well its probably from the amount of sobbing we did last night then you going on to drink my dad's whole vodka stash " her eyes widened as she saw bottles scattered all over the floor "but we didn't do anything did we like a drunken mistake ?" he shook his head "no of course not " she wiped her brow of sweat during the intense moment "thank god i mean not that your not hot or anything but this is awkward so ima just stop" they both laughed
"we're gonna find a way to get your dad out of that hell hole because we both know that your dad didn't kill jason he wouldn't have the heart for it jug" he nodded he didn't know what Alexa knew and the plan that Fp had thought of she just had to wait for the right opportunity to arise she was drawn from her thoughts when jughead snapped her out of it "something inside me tells me he didn't do it but everything around me is telling me he did do it i don't know what to believe anymore " she stood up slowly avoiding bottles as she sat next to him and put a reassuring hand on his shoulder "don't worry he's gonna get out sooner or later " she smiled sadly "lets hope your right mom" she hit his arm and pretended to be offended but it turned into a laugh "eww don't say that it makes me feel old" " well what would you be to me"she thought "just your same old friend nothing more wait think of me as the queen of the serpents "he looked shocked at her "how long have you been a serpent?" "umm about a month ago now thats why i thought i'd tell you because you were gonna get suspicious if you came to the serpents looking for answers and i wanted it to be from me " he raised a brow "i don't wanna imagine you with my dad it just seems wrong i dunno but what i do know is i'm hungry" she scoffed "i can't help my emotions what can i say he is super h-" " eww stop no i'm going to pos you want anything " she giggled "get me a shale and i'll clean up this place " "deal" he said as he opened the door and exited
the girl walked into the bathroom to check her appearance "ugh i must've really been in a bad state last night" she looked at her knuckles to see purple bruises with cuts on them she winced and she flexed her hand opened and shut she remembered she had continuously punched a wall before entering the trailer jughead was in where she cried with him on the floor and decided to drink all of Fp's vodka thinking it could ease the pain of her slowly breaking heart she thought it would make her forget everything wrong in her life only to be reminded of it in the following day she looked into the mirror and saw her eyes they were puffy and red from all the crying she had done she had black streaks down her face from her mascara smudging and finally her lipstick was smudged from wiping her mouth with her hand of the vodka that remained on her she waved it off and walked out the bathroom
beginning to clean up the trailer picking up the table that had been flipped then went up to clean up the bottles and anything up off the floor and just as she had finished jughead walked through the door "i come bearing food" she laughed as he got it from the bag and put it on the side she grabbed her milkshake and drank some of it "that's soo good always is" he laughed as he took a bite of his burger and unexpectedly offered some to the girl she looked at him with a weird look and nodded she walked over to him and took a bite of his burger "oh my god thats even better " she smiled but he was staring at her and she noticed and she stared back he began to lean in and for some strange reason she did too they shared a kiss for a few moments before she realised what happened she pulled away quickly and put her fingers to her lips "Alexa i- i'm s-sorry " she looked at him "its ok we're both in pain at the moment and it was a minute of relief" she smiled "we need to go see your dad" he nodded and stood up walking to the bike again she followed looking at her trailer to see her mother in the kitchen she quickly got on the back and they rode to the station
when they arrived they were met by the whole gang bombarded with questions archie being first "where have you both been we've been calling and texting "jughead looked displeased "i don't wanna talk to any of you ever again" then veronica spoke listen jughead your dad is being framed that lock box wasn't there when we went in there someone put it there after we left i went there because i needed to see if my dad paid your dad to take out jason " this was all news to Alexa " what the fuck you can't just break into someones house thats breaking and entering thats a felony in itself " then archie spoke again
" we're going in there to sort this out are you coming or not " the two on the bike reluctantly did archie being the person to ask for the sheriff " We need to see Sheriff Keller.There's been a huge mistake"just then the sheriff walked out "sheriff we need to talk to you about Fp jones " "what about him?" Alexa's heart was breaking by the second she knew it was no use "he's innocent , he's being framed " the sheriff raised an eyebrow and put his hands on his hips "then why did he just confess " just then it was almost as if time was in slow motion two officers walked past with Fp in handcuffs with his hands behind his back he looked at the group as he passed Alexa couldn't take it anymore her heart had fully broken she fell to the floor and sobbed the man looked at his love and pulled towards her only to be pulled back realising he was restrained he continued to try and pull "just let me say goodbye please" the officers looked at sheriff keller nodded they let go of the man and took the handcuffs off he ran to her and crouched in front of her he didn't care who saw anymore he put used his finger to lift up her chin she looked up to see it was him her arms wrapped around his neck and they hugged for the last time in a while he whispered her ear "i'm gonna be gone for a while i need you to run the place for a while i'll miss you but i'll see you soon all in good time " she just had her head buried in his shoulder inhaling his scent until the sheriff coughed indicating he had to go the two embracing each other pulled back he held her cheek and they leaned in and shared one last kiss before he got up and walked back to the officers where he went back to hanging his head in shame after they had handcuffed him he was taken away
the group stood stunned at what they had just witnessed she stood up and jughead held his arms open and she walked into them while she cried into his shoulder he said "lets go home " he felt her nod as they walked out of the station and went back to the trailer where she sobbed into jugheads shoulder until she eventually fell asleep in his arms feeling secure that someone had her back
