It's Late But ..
Chapter 7 💕
Trey's P.O.V
It was 2:30 , Shai was at school. So, I decided to drive around & see if I spotted her lil "man candy" and I got lucky 😏 .
Me: Well, hello there. Having fun playing stepdaddy ?
I laughed out the window.
he looked at me then back at the road. Without thinking, I let my anger take over & rear-ended him off the road then ..
I blacked out.
Shai's P.O.V
I rushed to my car. My heart was beating fast & I didn't know what to think. I called Kiara to tell her I'd be late home.
Me: Hello?
Kiara: Yeah?
Me: I'll get Aubrey , I promise. I just need another hour.
Kiara: Shai. Calm down, she's with Trey.
I hung up in her face.
Now, I'm even more scared. The hospital wouldn't tell me anything. & now it could involve my baby. I parked quickly & ran inside.
"Shaidyn Taylor, You guys called me! what's wrong ? what's wrong !"
I yelled, now crying.
"Calm down, Shaidyn. Rm 2034"
I nodded & ran to the elevator. i bursted in the door to see Aubrey laying in the hospital bed. I cried and hugged her little body. She shifted a little.
I stood up & hugged August.
"What happened?"
"Your friend, Trey decided to get in a car accident with Aubrey in the back seat. He's in intensive care, I managed not to have any scratches. I'm fine."
after a few more hours , the doctors gave us some medication & Aubrey was released. Now, someone was coming over in the morning to talk about custody. I buckled Aubrey up & August drove us to his mom's house .
"Shai, everything will be okay."
I starred at him before letting him kiss me.
"I really do care about you. I promise, I'm not going to hurt you or Aubrey."
My guard was still not completely down but I think it's finally time to let it down. I think I... believe him.
I got Aubrey out. She was asleep so his mom held her as she watched tv in their living room.
It was about 11pm. Me & August sat outside on the porch. The way he held me I felt so secure. The happiest I've been since Aubrey being born. I felt safe.
But, of course that didn't last.
