Astrid

I walked into my science classroom, probably looking like a zombie, I hadn't had a shower this morning meaning I was still half asleep. My eyes scan the classroom and I see Noah was sat at the back next to Max.

"ASTRID! GET OVER HERE!" Max screamed.

I rolled my eyes and avoided all of the eyes who turned to stare at me from the class.

I walked to the back of the class and sat in front of Max and Noah.

"What."

"You let Noah sleep in your bedroom last night." Max said, raising his eyebrows.

"Nothing happened." Noah said in an annoyed tone,

"I don't care. It doesn't happen again."

I laughed and rolled my eyes.

"ASTRID, IM SERIOUS."

Everyone looked around.

I laughed. "What are you going to do, kick him out?"

Max frowned and Noah smirked. Noah was obviously a good inch taller than Max as well as more muscular. Max was the runner and Noah was the strength in the team. Max frowned and sunk down on the desk, looking pissed.

"Groups of four, due next lesson."

"Astrid, your with us." Max hissed.

"I'm not doing all the work for you, you need to get into college."

I turned my desk around and we worked a three, it was weird to work with Noah, but it was nice.

"How's Maisie?" Max asked.

Noah looked at Max as if to say 'shut up.'

"Noah, I know." I said rolling my eyes.

"Who told you." He sighed.

"My brother." I replied.

"Keep your mouth shut."

I rolled my eyes, "Who am I going to tell?"

He ignored me so we sat in silence whilst copying from the textbook.

"How's your Mum?" Max asked.

"She's okay."

Noah gave me a death stare as if to say don't-you-dare-say-a-word.

"So where are we going to work on this project?" Max asked.

"Not at ours." I said, quickly.

Max caught on. "Yeah."

"Come to mine after school," Noah sighed.

He sighed a lot, it was as if everything was exhausting to him or he just hated everyone, I couldn't figure out which one yet.

And with that the bell rang and we left.

"Come in." Noah called from inside the house.

It was a nice house. A very nice house. It was so clean and white and modern. I frowned when I saw it, I was expecting something awful from what Noah described yesterday. I didn't say anything though.

I followed Max into the living room where Maisie was lying in her bouncer chair crying quietly.

"What's up with Maisie?" I asked.

"She's not stopped crying all day, my sister said." Noah said.

"Maybe she needs some Astrid love." I said.

I picked her up and she immediately stopped crying again and fell asleep.

"How do you do that?" Noah said annoyed.

"Noah, she's boiling." I said feeling her forehead.

I took her blanket off her. She was shivering, but at the same time she was sweating and boiling to touch. I immediately unwrapped her from her onesie and she cried in her nappy.

She was sniffling and coughing.

"Noah, she's sick," I said worriedly.

Noah looked very angry, "What the fuck Cassidy!"

A few minutes a very pretty girl walked into the room, she looked in her early twenties. She was the female version of Noah, if not better looking. She had dyed streaks of her hair pink and she had her nose pierced.

"What." She snapped.

"Why the fuck has she been left alone?" Noah snapped.

She rolled her eyes, "I can't watch your kid twenty four seven, Noah, get a fucking sitter."

"I would, if you would have asked me too. You said it was fine to leave her with you." Noah shouted, he looked very angry.

He also looked fucking hot. But I pushed that thought down quickly.

"Fuck off Noah," She walked off, leaving us in the living room.

"Noah, lets take her to hospital," I said, softly.

Noah nodded and we followed him out to the car.
