We were the ones who rose to power,
Made it higher than the best
We were the champions of champions
Markers of Wilderwest
We clung onto our crowns
And fought the battles that we need
We built our kingdoms tall and strong,
'Cause we were the kings and queens
But every crown will dull
And castles all will empty fall
A throne that's built of glass will always shatter
The kingdoms fall to pieces on the edge of obliteration
And eventually the darkness all will conquer
We are the kings and queens of fallen cities
Rulers of desiccated towns
Monarchs of an empty castle
Leaders of the underground
But we hold on tight
Won't surrender our crowns
Hold on tight
Until it all comes crashing down
We were the ones who strolled in brightly
Flowing robes and shining crowns
The keepers of the enviance
Upon all we looked down
But heroes are not forever
And the sky's ready to fall
When the kingdom's ripped and tattered
We are the ones who call
Royalties, our histories
Mean nothing in the underworld
Crowns bright, shining knights
Can't save us when we start to fall
The ballads and the stories
That transformed our forgotten reign
Were never meant to lie and change
But we're still part of life's twisted game
