Normani Phillips POV
I exited my car and walked to the entrance of the building that I worked at. I was so happy to finally be back in America. It felt like I was there for a long time. After Angelo and I had talked everything out, we went back to our normal ways. I was back at work and was ready to get my money. I went to where Traci was and gave her a hug.

"How are you feeling?" She asked.

"I'm feeling good. I'm just tired." I sighed.

"Well, your first patient is going to be arriving in 15 minutes." She mentioned.

"Alright, thanks.".

I walked into my office and removed my coat, getting ready for my first patient. I had 10 more minutes to spare so I called Curtis to find out how he was.

"Wassup?" He answered his phone.

"Hey." I smiled as if he could see me.

"Are you busy?" I asked.

"I literally just finished." He said.

"How was the flight back?".

"It was tiring. I don't wanna be here at work but I need my money.".

"Yeah, I know how it feels.".

"How's my man?" I said referring to Calvin.

"He's cool. He's at school right now.".

"So, you still down for Saturday?" He mentioned.

"Yeah, I still am. I can't wait for the three of us to hang out." I said twirling my hair around my finger.

"Oh, the three of us? I thought it was just going to be the both of us.".

"Oh, sure. That's cool." I nodded my head understanding.

"If you wanted me to bring Calvin then I will but it'll be better off with just the both of us." He suggested.

"Is this meant to be like a date?" I bit down on my lip.

"Yeah." He admitted.

"Why didn't you just tell me? I would've agreed to it anyway." I giggled.

"I don't know. I guess a nigga just felt nervous?".

"Hm...anyway, I'll definitely be there on Saturday.".

"I'll definitely be there to pick you up and drop you back home, too.".

"Normani, you're first patient is here." Traci popped her head through the door.

"Alright, thanks." I gave her smile.

"You gotta go?" He asked.

"Yeah, you wanted me to stay on the line?" I raised my brow.

"Yeah, I'm bottom lip is quivering right now.".

"I'm sorry, Curtis." I laughed.

"I felt like we haven't done that late night talk in forever." He mentioned.

"That is so true. I'll call you tonight.".

"Cool." He said.

We hung up the phone and I turned my off phone as the first patient walked in with their parent. I put on a smile and greeted them before getting started on what I had to do.

"What are you doing?" Curtis furrowed his brows and ran his tongue over his bottom lip.

"Nothing that concerns you." I smiled as I fixed my silk night dress that was folded at the bottom.
