"Oppa, why are you smiling like that? It's so creepy."

Your brother merely brushed back his hair in the most dramatic way possible. You rolled your eyes. 

"Just wanted you to know that my girlfriend thinks my smile is great."

What?

"'Girlfriend'?"

"Yeah. Hyejin."

You slapped his shoulder with a big smile.

"Nice!"

"That's right. Nice indeed," he said, puffing out his chest proudly.

"When are you gonna tell Mom and Dad?"

"Hm, after graduation. Mom's okay with dating but Dad is not."

"Dad literally told you to have fun when you said you'd court Hyejin unni. How does that even remotely sound like he's not okay with you dating?"

"Hey, just a precaution. Dad might've been sarcastic."

"That's not Dad, that's Mom."

"Anyway, just wanted you to know, my precious little brat. You better not tell."

Without waiting for your response, your brother quickly disappeared up the stairs and into his room.

How exciting. 

Hyejin unni was very nice, from what you've seen of her when she shows up to your brother's games. You hoped it'd work for him this time. The other girls he dated - or tried to date, you reminded yourself with a laugh at your brother's expense - didn't understand that badminton was almost his entire life.

Since Mom was still in the downstairs bathroom, you went up to your room to wait for her to come out.
