Mariah's POV

My mind didn't want to let me believe everything that Whit had told us because I would never do such a thing. I liked men, I preferred men, and Janet was not a man. I sighed and rubbed my face, realizing that I sounded like some homophobe in denial. My sexual orientation had never been an issue until now, and quite frankly, I didn't know how to address it.

So, I did what any other person would do, and went outside to clear my mind. I allowed my legs to lead me anywhere and smiled as a soft breeze hit my skin. I hadn't noticed anyone else was out here until I felt my hair drop from its original ponytail. My attention immediately shifted behind me as Whitney smiled.

"Mind if I use this?" I chuckled,

"Excuse you, but I was using it, Besides, you don't ever wear your hair up." She shrugged and giggled,

"Touché, Mimi. What're you doing out here all alone?"

"I needed to clear my mind, and locking myself up inside of my room wasn't the right way to resolve it." She snickered,

"You could have went to Jan-"

"Please stop." She crossed her arms as we continued to walk,

"So, this is what all of this is about? Child, stop sulking and just go talk it out with her."

"Whit, I can't do that."

"And why not?"

"Because it's already awkward enough as it is. I wouldn't want to make matters worse."

"Bullshit." I gasped,

"Whitney!"

"Janet is one of the most understanding people you'll ever meet. Hell, the real problem you have is trying to avoid the cameras." I sighed,

"Go to her and say what?" She shrugged and sat beside me on the sand,

"Ask her how she feels about the whole situation. I'm sure you both feel the same way and you two just need to have a discussion." I sighed and looked at her as she smiled,

"How're you so calm about all of this?" She shrugged,

"This ain't my first time experiencing this and you two hit it off a little too fast for my liking. I told that girl not to give you her number, because you could have been some psycho, but hey," She shrugged, "She didn't listen to me. Nobody ever listens to Whitney!" I laughed and nudged her,

"She told you about that?" She scoffed,

"Told me? We had a whole argument about it before she gave it to you." I laughed harder and bit my lip,

"And she still gave it to me."

"If we're being honest, I don't know what you two have, but I know there's something there."
