I rolled out of bed and looked at the time. I was dreading today. I wished it wouldn't come.

Today was Yuri's second day of competition, also known as the day we break up. The plan was that we were going to get into an argument that caused us to break up. Not that hard, right? All we had to do was find a topic that we could argue on...

It wasn't all that easy.

Yuri and I got along really well and the only time we argue is over food and things like that. Just stupid stuff. We thought maybe one of us could get jealous, but we vetoed that idea because we were both figure skaters, of course there would be people practically on top of us at times.

So we decided on an easy one. We would get in an argument over skating routines, both of us overreacting, and breaking up.

To make it more realistic, I would be leaving tomorrow for my own competition. I'll be going to my first one of the season and when Yuri competes, we'll practice for a bit, get into an argument, and boom. I'll leave. Yuri will have to continue his competitions and we'll end up meeting up in Moscow. We'll be able to get back to normal with out lives.

Yay...

I stood up and grabbed my bag that had my skates and stuff. My suit case was in the corner all packed up and I started to feel a bit nauseous. I was somewhat used to the feeling, but I still hated it. I headed to the skating rink where Yuri had performed his Short program, next was his free skate. It couldn't be too bad considering he was the oldest one there. He did pretty well on his short program, but I feel like he could do better. Actually, I've seen him do better before.

I walked into the rink and looked around, there weren't many people. At the moment it was mostly just the skaters, judges, family, and coached there. The reporters would probably be here before long. They were usually here before most of the crowd.

I saw Yuri and walked over. He was focused, but not in a good way. His gaze was locked forward, probably running his program over in his head for the millionth time. I sighed and looked around. I'd seen Yuri before competition many times, but this one was a bit different. Usually he was nervous and worried. Right now he looked determined and I wasn't sure if it was good or bad.

I sighed and sat down, plugging in my headphones. I had a lot of time to kill before competition actually started.

.....................

It had been a good hour or so and the competition was just about to start. Since Yuri went first last time, he'd be going last now. I looked around to find that Minami kid that idolized Yuri. He was heading onto the ice and was about to get into starting position when a voice called through the rink. "Minami! Good luck!" The familiar voice of Yuri Katsuki rang. I looked over to see his hands drop from his mouth. I smiled and looked over. Minami seemed much more determined and ready than before. I smiled and waited.

Minami had a nice song that played. It was the kind of song that made you want to stand up and dance. I smiled to myself and tapped my foot to the beat.

Minami finished with a pretty high score, I smiled and clapped along with the many others. A few other people went before it was Yuri's turn. He was nervous, Victor had told him to cut out his quads, but I doubted that was going to happen. Yuri gets determined, but I could see why Victor would want to have him cut them out. Yuri was nervous and that was going to make him tense.

Yuri had started his program and I watched him. I could see the tension in his shoulders, but he was doing pretty well. As soon as I saw him change a triple to a double, I knew he was planning to put the quad back in. I smiled to myself. There's Yuri for you.
