In which she's losing control

•☆•☆•☆•☆•☆•

Controlling her heart was not an easy task.

Mirae had tried to keep her eyes as much as she could on the words she was writing instead of Jisung's glorious cheekbones or the way his hair looked so fluffy or how his soft hand moved when writing; but it was hard when the one she was trying to keep distance from was less than a meter away.

"Hey!"

She snapped out of her thoughts on how good he looked with the school tie loosely hanging on his neck and looked up, "Yeah?"

"I've been trying to call your attention for about five times now," he chuckled, "are you alright?"

"Oh, sorry. I'm just a bit distracted."

"Is it because of something? Or someone?"

Her breath hitched, "Excuse me?"

Jisung let out a sigh and dropped his pen, pursing his mouth before staring at her.

"I saw you with the tall guy from KJ right when lunch was over. I suppose there's something going on since you seemed unable to concentrate today in class."

For a moment she didn't know what he was talking about, but her mind went back to the few minutes she shared with Mingyu on the arts hallway before her last class. But, she thought while looking at him return to his writing, there was no way he could've known she had met Mingyu, because he hadn't been there. Unless...

"Where were you at that moment?"

"Mm?" he hummed, lifting his head.

"You saw me with him?" she asked a lot more softly since his mysterious look made her feel small. "Because you totally misunderstood. He has nothing with me and I have nothing with him. We're just acquaintances."

"Oh," he mumbled. "Okay, cool."

However, something on the way he covered his mouth to stop himself from smiling let her know there had been more than just an 'okay, cool' thought on his mind. Either he had it or not, she let it slide off.

Few minutes later, Mirae finished writing her part of the summary. She took her phone and distracted herself from the temptation of admiring Han Jisung's profile. She grabbed a cookie from the bag she had taken as biscuits while they worked and another one, and another one. By her seventh cookie, Jisung announced he had finished by lying back down with a long loud sigh.

"What if we take a nap now? We have officially finished the assignment."

"Why do you always want to take a nap in my living room?" she chuckled, "Last time was the same thing, just that Max didn't let you get comfortable,"

Jisung rolled over and rested his head on her thigh, sending a whole rush of nervousness along her leg and spine. He smiled up at her and said, "Well, your house just give this huge 'make yourself comfortable and take a nap' vibe. I think is more comfortable than my own bed."

"Uh, sure... Well, I'm sorry to disappoint you but I don't find the floor comfortable for lying down. I'd rather use the couch."

He nodded, got up and plopped down on the couch while Mirae laughed at his actions. She sat next to him, making sure she kept a space between her legs and his head, but it was useless; as soon as she had made herself comfortable, Jisung moved and lay his head on her thigh, in a similar position as the one before.

Then he smiled childishly at her, "Now this is way better, isn't it?"

Even if her hands and the back of her neck were starting to sweat, she said, "Yeah, sure."
