PROLOGUE
Fade In
INT. SEABROOK - BOWLING ALLEY - EVENING
Addison, Zed, Bucky, Bree, and Bonzo laugh as they all watch Eliza line up her bowling ball and get ready to take her shot. The group of friends were having the time of their lives, laughing, eating, and drinking to their heart's content. They had split up into two teams, the boys versus the girls. And they were currently tied.
ADDISON
Come on Eliza! You can do this!
BREE
Yeah it's all tied up right now but you can fix that
ELIZA
(Glances over at them and nods)
BUCKY
Don't get nervous now
(Smirks)
ELIZA
(Rolls her eyes and sticks her tongue out at him)
ADDISON
Don't let him psych you out. You've got this girl
ELIZA
(Faces the lane and rolls her ball)
Everyone watches in anticipation as the ball rolls down the lane and towards the pins. The ball smacks into the pins with a hard thud, knocking each and every pin over.
BUCKY
No way!
ZED
Impossible!
BONZO
Gagzar!
ADDISON
Strike! Yes! That's what I'm talking about!
BREE
That brings the girls total to 31
ELIZA
(Walks over and sits down next to Addison and Bree)
BREE
Nice job girl
ELIZA
(Moves a piece of hair from in front of her face and smiles)
Why thank you, thank you very much
ZED
Ehh whatever there's still a long game ahead. You ladies are going down
BUCKY
You bet they are
BREE
Mmhm if you boys say so. Come on, who's up now for your team?
BUCKY
That would be moi
(Stands and walks over to the rack)
Now let's see, which ball do I want to use? It has to be shiny, like my personality and smooth like my perfectly sculpted body.
ELIZA
(Watches him)
Is he serious right now?
ADDISON
Very
ELIZA
Wow
BUCKY
Ah ha
(Grabs a dark green bowling ball)
This is the one
(Lines his ball up and rolls it down the lane)
Everyone watches as Bucky's ball speeds down the lane, heading for the pins, as it's continuing to roll, it begins to drift lazily to the side.
BUCKY
No no no
ZED
Oh no
BONZO
(Looks strangely at the rolling ball)
The ball drifts over into the gutter, swiftly passing every pin that was lined up.
BUCKY
NO!
ELIZA
YES!
ADDISON
Wow, cuz you didn't even get a single pin.
(Giggles)
BUCKY
Shush Addie
(Walks back over to his seat and sits)
ZED
Well, that means the girls are still ahead of us by 12 points.
ADDISON
Yep, and I'm next, again.
ZED
We might as well forfeit, the girls were scoring 9s, 10s, and 12s.
(Sighs)
I don't see how we're going to catch up if we don't start pulling in some big numbers
