INT. SEABROOK - NEAR THE SUPERMARKET - MIDNIGHT
Bucky, Stacey, and Tracey held their heads down as Lacey continued to talk. Guilt written all over their faces.
LACEY
Don't give me those looks you know what I'm talking about. It wasn't the first time Stace jumped into a lake, knowing that she can't swim.
ADDISON
(Looks at Stacey)
Wait, what are you insinuating?
LACEY
I'm not insinuating anything, I'm clearly stating that Stacey tried to kill herself because of the bullying she endured over her feet. It could've ended the exact same way for Addison. And then that would've been on us. All of us
ELIZA
(Clears her throat)
Um not all of us
LACEY
(Smacks her lips)
You know what I mean
BUCKY
I-I honestly didn't think about that. I mean the last time Stace tried anything like that was our freshman year of high school. And she was dating that senior guy. You know, the one who dumped her once he saw her feet and took Polaroid pictures of them.
TRACEY
That's the same one who made flyers of them too, isn't it?
LACEY
Yeah unfortunately
TRACEY
Ew I hate that guy
BUCKY
We all hate that guy
LACEY
That's besides the point though. Where did we find Stacey after the whole flyer fiasco?
BUCKY
Unconscious
BREE
(Gasps)
BUCKY
At the bottom of SeaBrook lake
ADDISON
(Eyes widen)
ZED
What
BONZO
Grazua?
BREE
How did you get to the bottom of the lake?
STACEY
(Sighs)
I took my dad's boat and paddled out to the middle of the lake. Once I was out there, with no cell reception so no one could stop me, I put on my SeaBrook jacket, stuffed the pockets with some rocks I found, and jumped over board.
ELIZA
You're lying
STACEY
(Tears fall and sniffles)
I wish that I was
DYLAN
Stacey, I had no idea you went through so much
STACEY
(Wipes her tears and sighs)
It's not something I like to broadcast to the whole world. But now you see why I'm so disgusted by my own behavior, I've literally been in Addison's shoes and yet I still treated her like she wasn't even a person. I helped treat her like she was garbage, and I'm just so sorry and appalled at my actions
