Zane sat on the edge of a dock, his feet dangling in the water.

He wasn't a big fan of the beach, there was too much sand that stuck to your body once you got out of the water.

He never saw the point in people freaking out about going to the beach. It was a scary place. If you got stuck underwater, there was no way out. Just relax and hope the tide brings you to shore. That's why he preferred pools. He didn't like a place that had water in general, but at least a pool was much safer than a beach.

He pulled his feet out of the water, hugging his knees to his chest. Ein would be back at the hotel in half an hour, so that meant Zane should be heading back.

He stared out into the water one last time before standing up, footprints trailing behind him as he walked away.
