"Do you really have to go see Ryder and Jax...?" Zane asked, pouting.
"Sadly, I do. I'll be back before you know it." Ein fixed his tie, turning back to Zane. "I love you."
Zane responded by kissing Ein on the cheek, grimacing inwardly.
He watched as the werewolf exited the building, leaving the boy all alone.
"The game starts tomorrow..." He whispered. "Well, the official one... It technically started ten days ago, but no one got sent the text..."
His phone buzzed and he grabbed it, breath faltering.
"Or... Maybe things have changed."
