A/N: So, I did this with Cleril, and now I'll do it with Glorybringer. Here's a little background.

The DOD and their 'companions' travel to the Lost Continent and get separated. Each couple ends up with a different new tribe. Clay and Peril with the Firewings, for instance.

In this case, Glory and Deathbringer find themselves among a strange tribe called FireflyWings...

Glory and Deathbringer had stumbled upon a village. They walked through the empty streets of it, Deathbringer's eyes glancing over everything warily.

"Maybe no one lives here anymore," Glory suggested. It certainly didn't seem like it, but Deathbringer thought differently. He shook his head.

"No, there's definitely someone. I'm getting a dragon scent, and it's very recent." His eyes narrowed as he looked around. "But there's no sign of where everyone went."

"Perhaps they're hiding from us."

"Why?"

"We're different, and new here. They probably don't trust us enough to know that we mean no harm."

"Well, why didn't you say that earlier!" a new voice cried out. The pair jumped as dragons appeared out of the buildings  and nearby trees. Deathbringer instantly jumped in front of Glory, his arm protectively held out in front of her.

"I can handle myself." She muttered to him.

"I'll decide that for myself when I know who we're dealing with." he hissed back. The dragons surrounding them were dark, like Nightwings, but their tails shimmered a golden color, and a strange bulb was lit up at the end.

One of the dragons walked up to greet them, smiling warmly. Glory's eyes widened at the dragon's appearance. Her eyes were golden, and her scales seemed edged in silver.

"Welcome," she greeted them. "My name is Alina." She eyed them carefully. "You two....are not from these lands, are you?"

"No," Glory began, stepping up. Deathringer eyed Alina cautiously, as if he didn't even trust the idea of her speaking to Glory. "We are from Pyrrhia." Alina's face lit up, as did the end of her tail.

"How exciting!" she exclaimed. "Allow me to introduce you properly, then." She bowed slightly. "I am Queen Alina of the FireflyWings. This is my Kingdom, and these are my tribe. We are named this way for our scale coloring and the lights on our tails. We don't have many specific abilities, but we can sense certain things." She studied them for a moment. "For example, you friend is highly suspicious of us, although he has no reason to be. And, I sense he cares a great deal about you."

Glory fought back a smirk as Deathbringer stood slightly flustered, attempting to think of a witty retort. Glory smiled at the Queen.

"I am Queen Glory of the Rainwings and Nightwings," she began, bowing slightly to Alina. "I am a Rainwing. Our scales change color, depending on our emotions and our own desire." she changed her scales to match the FireflyWing's as an example before fluttering back to her normal color. "This gives us great camouflage abilities. In addition, we can also shoot a deadly venom." She gestured to Deathbringer. "My companion is a Nightwing. They have star patterns under their wings that allow them to blend in with the night sky. Certain members of the tribe have the ability to see the future and read minds."

The FireflyWings gasped at this, whispering and watching Deathbringer with concern. Glory smiled.

"Don't worry," she insisted. "He does not possess these abilities." She eyed Deathbringer with a smug expression. "His only talents are being smug and annoying." Deathbringer shot her a playful glare.

"I am also a trained assassin and the Queen's most loyal bodyguard." Deathbringer added. "My name is Deathbringer, and my tribe takes names very seriously."

"Mhmm." Glory mused, rolling her eyes at the assassin. Alina's gaze flickered between the two of them before smiling.

"Well, I'm sure there is much to be discussed about our two lands." She declared. "Why don't we head to my palace. It is a bit more....private, for a Queen and Queen conversation."

"Of course," Glory agreed regally. Two FireflyWings shot out of the crowd and fell in step near Alina and Glory as they started to walk towards a grand building. Deathbringer went to follow, only to be stopped by one of the guards.

"Hey!" he yelled indignantly. They stopped walking and Alina turned to Glory.

"I assure you that no harm will come to you in my Kingdom," she insisted. "Bodyguards are not necessary." Glory's eyes turned to Deathbringer before shifting back to Alina.

"I'd still prefer if he came along, if that's alright." She questioned. Alina smiled knowingly.

"Of course it is." she grinned, waving at the guard. Deathbringer glared at him and took his place beside Glory as they continued walking. Alina watched the two of them, grinning at the pair.

There was a lot unspoken between these two, she knew. After all....

FireflyWings could sense these sorts of things.
