Chapter 8

Jay walked the halls of the school with Lloyd, the two were talking about the anti ninjas, and who they could possibly be.

"So... I think their leader might be--" Lloyd stopped seeing a girl down the hall. "Who's that?" He said pointing at her.

"Probably new.." Jay said.

The two approached the female, "oh hello." She said.

"Hey." Lloyd said, "My name is Lloyd and that's Jay." He said pointing to Jay.

"Nice to meet you both, my name is Harumi. I'm a transfer student." She said.

"Nice to meet you." Lloyd smiled.

"Same to you," she smiled back.

Jay stared into Harumi's eyes, who was currently looking at Lloyd.

"Hey guys-" Nya said joining the group, "who's this?"

"I'm Harumi." She said holding her hand out for Nya to shake.

"Nice to meet you.." Nya said shaking her hand, The way Harumi was looking at her made something feel off.

"I should get going... but I'll see you all around." Harumi said walking away with a wave.

"Bye!" Lloyd said.

Nya shifted her eyes to the ground.

"I think that girl is bad news," Nya said to Lloyd and Jay.

"How could you just assume? You just met her, and she seems nice." Lloyd said, smiling during his last statement.

Jay looked at Lloyd, and sighed. Burying his face into his scarf basically, as Nya grinned,

"You like her don't you!" Nya smirked.

"W-What no!" Lloyd said, clearly lying.

Jay snapped, "Please no, Please no-" he mumbled quietly.

"Mhm. You can deny it but I know you like her!" Nya teased.

"Nya stop!" Lloyd blushed.

Jay gritted his teeth, "I have to go." Jay said immediately, storming down the hall, frustrated.

"What's his deal?" Eli said approaching the two.

Lloyd and Nya shrugged, then Nya spoke up, "Hey, I don't believe we've met yet." Nya said.

"I don't believe so either, I'm Elijah, but please call me Eli." He smiled at Nya.

"It's Nya, Nice to meet you Eli." She smiled back.

"Same to you." 

The two stared at each other for a moment, until the bell rang.

"Well I better head to class." Nya said.

"What class are you headed to?" Eli asked with slight interest.

"music class." She responds, Moving a strand of hair from her face.

"Nicee, I do too," he responds.

"Oh, that's cool." Nya said.

"Wanna head down together?" He asked.

Nya nods, "Sure!"

The two walked down the hall after Nya waved goodbye to Lloyd, Lloyd sighed, walking down the hall off to his next class.
