16. She's back.

Abhishek's POV-

I couldn't believe my eyes! Vashi was standing infront of me.

Just to clarify, I looked around.

Mithali, Akanksha, Adithi, Manjot and Shubman had the same expression.

I looked back at her.

Ravi sir came in, and stood next to her.

"So, everyone, welcome our new Team Manager, Urvashi Mehra." Ravi sir announced.

So, this was her dream job!

The team cheered and she smiled at everyone.

"Vashi h-" Mithali started but she got stopped in between.

"Urvashi. Urvashi Mehra." Vashi stated.

What just happened?

Mithali looked a bit taken aback. She hadn't expected this from Vashi.

"Urvashi?" Hardik bhai asked, and walked towards her.

"Suits you perfectly." He kissed her knuckles.

I felt a knotch in my heart. Hardik bhai stay away from MY GIRL.

Vashi had an amused look on her face.

"Unfortunately for you, I'm your Team Manager, and not your girlfriend. So, let's keep the relationship professional." She said, and slid her hand away smoothly.

Virat bhai laughed at her comment.

"I already like her." He said.

Hardik bhai glared at Virat bhai who was still laughing accompanied by Suresh bhai and Mahi bhai.

"Not my girlfriend, YET." Hardik bhai emphasised on the word 'Yet'.

"That's something never going to happen, so don't even think about it." Vashi chuckled.

Most of the people started laughing, but I was too busy looking at her.

Hardik bhai chuckled and introduced himself.

"Hi, I'm Hardik." He forwarded his hand.

"Urvashi. Nice meeting you." She smiled and shook his hand.

"Atleast, friends?" He asked.

"Friends." She chuckled.

"Okay guys, I'm sure you all know what her work is, so, today you all can get to know her. And Urvashi, tomorrow onwards you're on duty." He told Vashi.

"Yes, sir." She smiled at him.

Ravi sir left her side and everyone went to greet her.

Manjot, Shubman and the girls came to me.

"She's changed." Mithali whispered.

"We're the reason behind it." I told her.

She looked down, but nodded.

"Guys, what're you doing there? Come here." Prithvi told us.

Only if he knew.

We nodded our heads and walked towards her.

"Heyy." Vashi greeted us.

"How have you guys been?" She added.

"You know them?" Virat bhai asked her.

"Yeah. I've had amazing memories with them." She said, looking at me.

"They're my school friends." She told everyone.

"Oh that's good." Ravi sir said.

"Yeah." She smiled at him.

"Guys, could you all leave us together for a bit? Just want to catch up." Manjot requested.

"Yeah, sure. Go on. Meet you later, beautiful." Hardik flirted.

Vashi rolled her eyes at him and chuckled.

When everyone left, we looked at her.

"Can you all stop staring?" She smiled.

"We missed you." Adithi teared up.

Vashi looked down and back at us.

"I don't think it was my fault." She said.

We looked down, ashamed of ourselves.

"I didn't make a deal that would eventually break my bestfriend's heart." She said, looking at the three girls.

"I didn't support my friend in something that would eventually break a girl's heart." She continued, this time looking at Shubman and Manjot.

"I didn't make a deal that I was 100% sure would break a girl's heart." She looked at me. I could see tears building in her eyes.

"And I know, you guys are sorry and all." She added.

She sighed looking at us.

"So!"

We looked at her.

"Let's have a new start?" She asked.

A grin made its way on to my face.

She hugged the girls tightly. They hugged her back even more tight.

"We missed you." They said in unison.

"I missed you all too." She pulled away, wiping her tears.

"Abhishek Sharma." She breathed out. She looked at me for a few seconds before hugging me.

You know the feeling you get when you know where you belong? Yeah, that's the feel now.

"I've missed you so much." I whispered in her ear.

She smiled and pulled back.

"Me too." She said, softly, looking into my eyes.

"You both are such fools. Couldn't stop him?" She laughed at Manjot and Shubman.

"Sorry." They said.

She hugged them and said it was alright.

"So, we're back?" Mithali asked her.

"Definitely back." She smiled.

"Aaaaaaand. Tell me what am I missing on?" She said, looking at Adithi and Manjot.

The girls pulled her away and started talking.

I looked at her, dreamily, before turning my attention to the boys.

"So, she's back?" Shubman asked her.

"Yes. Not letting her go this time." I grinned.

"That's like my boy." Manjot patted my back, and chuckled.

"Acha, Urvashi!" Hardik called out.

Everyone's attention was on Vashi now.

"Yeah?"

"Why do you have a ring on that finger?" Hardik asked.

"Hardik, it's called ring finger, and it's because-" She stopped in between.

She was thinking about something, I could tell.

"I'm engaged." She told.
