I Hate That I Love You

Chapter 13

~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
Carly's POV
My heart was beating out of my chest, my blood rushed quickly through my veins, and add the fact that I was scared out of my mind was all the ingredients that were required for a heart attack.
The black hooded figure was behind me. One hand over my mouth, the other around my waist. He dragged me out of the Exit doors and into the back alley of Necto.
Many things rushed through my head: I was never going clubbing with Blair again. If I ever go out in public, I will stick by Blake's side. And lastly, I was going to kill Blake for kissing that slut instead of taking care of me.
But I did tell him to stay and that I can take care of myself. Obviously, I was wrong.
"Stupid of you to go out in your situation." the figure whispered huskily. I could tell by the deepness of their voice that he was a man.
I couldn't reply since his hand was tightly over my mouth, sealing my lips shut. I wriggled in his grasp, fighting to get free but he was so strong.
He flipped me around so my back was against the double exit doors. I was shaking and tears brimmed my eyes, threatening to spill. Still keeping a hand on my mouth, he towered over me. The shadow of his hood hid his face, like always.
"Don't worry, honey." he said. "I'm not going to do anything right now. I know your boyfriend's about to burst through these doors any second. I'm just here to warn you about your upcoming court date. Just say you didn't see anything, okay? Say that and I'll leave you alone. Remember, I'll be watching."
Without another word, he disappeared in the shadows.
I couldn't help but let out the blood curling scream I've been holding on to when suddenly, the doors behind me slammed open, making me fly forward and hitting my head on the pavement.
Then, everything went black.
Blake's POV
God fucking dammit.
I can't believe how scared I was. The thought of Carly being hurt or worse... I'd rather drop dead than feel that kind of pain again.
I hated myself for opening the doors so harshly, hitting her at the process and making her pass out. In my defense, I was rushing to go after her. I had no idea that she was leaning against the steel doors.
I watched as the EMTs looked over her unconscious body. They said that her blood pressure was already high, so she would've fainted anyways. Either that or get a heart attack.
When I saw her sprawled down on the alley concrete, my heart had lodged itself in my throat. I couldn't speak, scream, or call for the police. But when they finally came, I couldn't bare to leave her side. So, I had held her cold, soft hands while they inspected her.
She's been sleeping for half an hour now. I just wanted to take her home and tuck her safely in my arms. After this, I wasn't sure if I could ever let her out of the house again. Not even for school. But we'll argue about that later.
Aiden was holding a sobbing Blair by the ambulance. I was angry at her but even angrier at myself for giving in to this. I should've known better.
Blair saw me looking over at them and more tears fell from her eyes. It hurt to see my sister cry but I couldn't help but feel mad. "I'm so sorry, Blake." she started but I cut her off.
