*ring ring*

I heard the 6:30 a.m. alarm on my phone go off, but kept my eyes shut.

*ring ring*

"Yooo..." I mumbled half asleep.

*ring ring *

"Mmm.."

*ring ring*

The door to my room swung open and I nearly jumped out the bed. Marco stomped over and through half open eyes, he pushed the stop button. He put my phone down and rubbed his face.

"You couldn't shut it off," he asked, his morning voice husky. I was speechless. He had cute bed hair, slight curls stuck out at the ends of his hair. He must've showered last night. My eyes traveled to his bare, ripped torso. His six pack was staring back at me and from the close proximity, I could see a happy trail leading to his...

My eyes widened at the bulge standing before me through his sweatpants, traveling down its length.

Talk about morning wood..

I caught myself and looked away before looking up at Marco.

"Mar- Marco?" He didn't answer. He was sleeping.

Standing up.

He swayed a bit, his eyebrows raising as he quickly caught himself and then he went back to sleeping. I called out his name again. Still, nothing.

*ring ring*

"What the fuuhhh-," he furiously looked down at the phone, but I reached out and grabbed it before he could do anything.

"You probably hit the snooze button," I said quietly. I hit stop and set it back on the nightstand. I stretched, a smile forming on my face as I felt my back crack. I looked up at Marco through lazy eyes.

"Zhara," He said slowly. He now appeared wide awake. His gaze was traveling from my covered chest to my covered toes. We made eye contact.

"Yes," I asked, feeling a tingly feeling in my toes from the way he looked at me.

"Are.." He paused, swallowing before he spoke again, " Are you.. naked." My heart caught in my throat and I quickly looked down to make sure the covers hadn't slipped off. I breathed a sigh of relief, and then my felt my face warm up.

"I didn't have any clothes last night... and I didn't want to.. bother-," my heart was going way too fast for comfort and I had to stop talking to catch my breath.

There was a low growl that came from his throat and he quickly turned around. On his way out the door, I caught him mumbling two words: cold shower.

We'd made it to my house in the small suburbs of southern LA. I climbed out the SUV Marco chose for us to drive today. I cut the engine and opened the door.

"I'll be quick," I said, happy to put some space between us. It'd been an awkward car ride with a few small conversations here and there. The tension- sexual tension- was way too thick, even in the large car.

I went into my house and saw Oliver sitting by the kitchen table leg and scratching.

"Dude, I bought you a post for a reason," I said to him as I lightly picked him up and petted him.  If I was going to stay at Marcos, who was going to watch Oliver.

"Maybe we can find you a cat sitter, huh Oli?" He meowed in reply and I softly raked my fingers through his short fur. He jumped out my hands and I went to my room. I started packing as quickly as I could.

Don't want to make Marco late.

My duffel bag was filling up quick as I threw in some folded and unfolded clothes into it. While I was putting in my underwear and bras, I heard glass break. I shoved my stuff into my bag and ran out, my hand on my gun. What I saw when I entered the kitchen caused me to relax and stifle a laugh.

Marco was having a stare-off with Oliver. Marco tried to reach out and touch him, but he hissed and backed up.

"You're not good with pets," I declared as I walked over to a wide eyed Oliver. I poured some food in his bowl and turned to Marco. He was glaring at Oliver.

"I'm good with pets. Just not this one," he said. I laughed a little.

"I think he was just hungry. Oliver's usually really sweet. He'll come around." I cleaned up the broken glass, peeking over at Marco to see him staring intently at Oliver.

"I'm almost done packing. We'll be out soon." I walked back to my room and heard heavy footsteps behind me. I grabbed my essentials from my bathroom: toothbrush, toothpaste, mouthwash, shampoo, face wash, body wash, and deodorant. When I walked back into the room I was horrified by what I saw. Marco had picked up one of my white, lace panties that had fallen in my hurry to see what had happened in the kitchen. I gasped and he looked over at me, realizing I was in the room. The lascivious smirk on his face said it all.

"Put that down," I said stomping over to him.

"Wow these are really thin,"he said pulling it away from me as I reached for it. "And super see-through," he laughed. In the midst of my fight to grab them back, my body responded to his laugh.

"Marco," I said juggling all my bathroom necessities.

"It looks new. What, you've never worn it," he questioned. I tried not to look into his eyes, my skin was on fire from embarrassment.

"Are you saving it for.. someone," he whispered into my ear, the heat of his breath fanning against my neck. My body was weakening at his mere voice. Noticing he was equally distracted, I reached out and grabbed it from where he was behind me. I rapidly shoved it and all my bathroom stuff into whatever room was left in the duffel bag. He chuckled at my exasperated self.

The bag was heavy when I picked it up. Marco noticed and tried to grab it, but I pulled away.

"I've got it," I said through gritted teeth.

"Dolcezza, don't break your good shoulder just because you're mad," he said. I could practically hear the smile on his face as he spoke behind me. I caught a glimpse of Oliver scratching himself against the post. When he saw me, he marched over and nuzzled my ankle.

Gosh, I couldn't leave him. I looked at Marco, who had stopped a few steps behind me, avoiding Oliver, I presumed. He was frowning at him.

"I can't leave him here alone.." I started, hoping Marco would understand what I was saying.

"I don't like cats," he said, then looked up at me with a mischievous look in his eye. "Certain ones anyway." I sensed the double meaning and discreetly squeezed my thighs together.

"But, I'll make an exception. As long he stays away from me," he said as Oliver subtly showed off his teeth mid yawn. A smile spread across my face.

"Thank you," I said. He walked over to me and took my duffel bag.

"Wha-," I started.

"I don't have time to look for a new bodyguard if your shoulder breaks," he said and walked out the door. I listened to Oliver purr as I rubbed his back.

"I'll be back tonight, alright?"
