"Try this."

I turned to look. My hand instinctively flew in front of my face, catching the shirt flung my way. Marco was pushing through racks of clothes.

"I just need a shirt and pants. What the-," my eyes raked over the lace corset ensemble in my hand. I neatly placed it back on the shelf making sure Marco didn't see me. I pushed past him and walked towards the fitting room.

The tight, navy blue turtle neck fit perfectly. Well fitted camo joggers were held in place by a black belt around my waist.

"Come out so I can see," Marco said from through the door. I picked up his dress shirt that had gotten me strange looks from the crowds of people in the store and I walked out.

Sergio was watching the people in the store, giving them cold stares to warn them from approaching. I tossed the shirt in my hand at Marcos face just as he'd done earlier. The Tom Ford fabric landed over his head and covered his face up to his nose. He didn't move for a second, seemingly taking deep breaths.

"Are you-," I ripped it off his head. He was smiling, eyes shining at my reaction.

"Smells like you," he said, shrugging and taking back his shirt from my hands. I dismissed the shudder my heart gave and stretched out my arms for him to look at my outfit.

"Is this work appropriate, sir," I asked, dropping the hint to keep it professional with Sergios presence very close. He scrunched his forehead, then looked at Sergio back before stepping closer to me.

"Are we roleplaying right now or..." he asked. I mushed his face gently and laughed. I felt his smile spread beneath my fingers.

"You look..." he said, wanting to say something, but stopping himself. "Appropriate." I nodded and took a silly bow before placing my weapon back onto my waist. Sergio felt me walking towards him and he turned around.

"We ready to go," he asked. I nodded, remembering the last time I'd seen him. I wondered if he'd missed Natalia. Us going to the house might be the first time he's seen her since Marco got rid of him. The thought reminded me of Marcos hypocrisy and I kept a mental note to talk to him about it in the car.

"Hello, did you find everything you needed," the cashier asked. Her kinky black afro framed her smooth chocolate face and her brown eyes shone. She was looking at Sergio, who gave her a shy smile.

"Yes, thank you. The top, bottom, and belt" Marco said whilst pulling out the small wad of hundreds that Sergio had given him in the car. He gave her a bill and looked at the small items lined on the counter.

His eyes landed on a brown teddy bear with a gold bow tied around its neck. He grabbed it and gave it to her. He then grabbed a mini keychain that was in the shape of a puppy and smiled before handing it to her to scan.

"Who's this for," she asked with a friendly smile.

"Someone annoying," he answered, looking over at me. I rolled my eyes at him.

"Don't flatter yourself, it's not for you," he said, rolling his eyes mockingly. The cashier handed us the bag and offered to take the tags off of my clothes. I let her, seeing Sergio stare at her as she took off the security tag on my pants. He caught me staring at him and I swear he blushed.

"Thank you," I said to her once she was done. Marco and I turned to leave.

"Oh your receipt," she said from the register. I turned and saw Sergio go back to get it. He looked down at it and did something that made her giggle. He folded it and put it in his pocket.

"Didn't she already give us a receipt," Marco spoke to himself, looking through the bag. I put my hand on his lower back and pushed him forward, shaking my head at his cute ignorance. She'd probably wanted to give Sergio her phone number so she made up the excuse.
