Fernando groaned as sat across from Olalla and her lawyer, he knew that she was going to be difficult now that she had lost access to Nora; but this was starting to get ridiculous.
“You want the house in Fuenlabrada, Madrid?” Fernando repeated making Olalla smirk, the footballer knew she was doing this to annoy him and she was slowly winning.
Olalla knew he’d want the house in Fuenlabrada, since that’s where he was from and where his parents lived; while she was from Santiago de Compostela where her parents lived, where the couple also had a house.
“Mrs Torres… Mr Torres has already agreed to give you the house in your home town of Santiago de Compostela,” Fernando’s lawyer said trying to calm the situation before someone got hurt.
The divorce should have been quick and easy and Olalla was dragging it out for some reason. Olalla rolled her eyes as she stared at her estranged husband; it had been two weeks since they had last seen each other, she wasn’t happy to hear that he had moved on and was now dating Riley.
“Yes but I want the house in Madrid,” Olalla said stubbornly as she smirked at the man across from her, she wasn’t going to let this go; she was determined to make him pay for what he had done.
Fernando crossed his arms and sighed; he would rather give her the house than put up with this for much longer; he had been with Riley for nearly a month now and he couldn’t have been happier.
Olalla’s lawyer looked at her before he whispered something to her making her frown; she pursed her lips as she nodded in agreement with what had been said.
“Mrs Torres will get the house in Santiago de Compostela, Mr Torres will get the house in Madrid while the house here in London will be sold and the money split between you both,” Olalla’s lawyer said as he jotted something down on the paper in front of him.
Fernando nodded, the sooner this was sorted the better; he wanted to start a new with Riley and the children even if he had only been dating his girlfriend for a month, he could see a future for them.
“That’s fine,” Fernando said making Olalla nod as she realised that her marriage would be over a lot quicker now, she knew that there would be nothing connecting them anymore.
Their lawyers nodded and jotted down some notes, they were both relieved that this was over and that the divorce could finally be processed.
“Now obvious due to recent events Nora will stay in the care of Mr Torres and there is to be no contact allowed by the court to Mrs. Torres so I think that’s everything,” Olalla’s lawyer concluded as he nodded at the other lawyer.
Olalla looked at Fernando sadly; they had been together for eleven years, two of those they had been married and had a daughter together and now this was how it was ending.
In a matter of weeks they would be divorced, everything they had done together was coming to an end; their lawyer continued talking as Olalla watched him sadly, it hurt her that this was how it all ended.
Fernando sighed relieved, he couldn’t believe he had wasted all those years with Olalla and this was how it had ended, and looking back of course he regretted that it ended like this.
“So we’ll meet back here in a month to finalise the divorce,” Fernando’s lawyer said, as he looked at his client; Fernando nodded happy that things were moving faster than expected.
Of course, he didn’t miss the ring that now lay on Olalla’s finger where her wedding ring used to be; she had only become engaged a week before when his relationship with Riley had been revealed to the world.
As they left the room where their assets had been divided, Olalla smiled sadly at Fernando; she knew that this was the end even if she was jealous of him moving on.
“For what it’s worth Nando… I’m sorry things ended like this,” Olalla said making Fernando nod at her as they walked towards the lift, the footballer didn’t have time for her after what had happened.
Olalla sighed as they waited for the lift, she watched as he checked his mobile and sent a quick text; she didn’t doubt that he was telling Riley that he was on his way back.
“How’s Nora?” Olalla asked hopefully, Fernando frowned as he looked at her; he knew she was up to something and he didn’t like it, he couldn’t trust her anymore and he never would.
“She’s fine… she likes spending time with Riley and Aiden,” Fernando said making Olalla nod sadly, she knew her behaviour had cost her, her daughter and that she would never get her back after this.
Olalla watched Fernando for a moment as she admired just how much he had changed since they had separated, he seemed so much happier and she couldn’t believe another woman had made him so.
“Good luck with Damien,” Fernando said with a nod knowing that he had to meet with Juan for something important; he was finally letting go of the past.

Fernando smiled at Juan, he knew he should tell Riley what he had planned but he wanted to surprise her when he had the chance.
The footballer knew that his girlfriend’s apartment was much too small for the four of them and he had secretly bought a house just outside of the city for them to live in.
“You sure about this?” Juan asked him, making Fernando nodded as they walked around the house they were in; the Spaniard had never been so sure of anything in his life.
Fernando had asked Juan to come and look around the house that he had selected before he showed it to Riley; he knew his girlfriend would love the five bedroom house that he had gotten them.
“Of course, do you think she’ll like it?” Fernando asked making Juan chuckle and nod his head, he was surprised that Fernando was going through all this trouble to arrange this since he hadn’t been with Riley all that long.
In the past month since they had started dating, things seemed pretty serious between the couple and Fernando was a lot happier with Riley than he had ever been with Olalla.
“So when are you going to tell her?” Juan asked he knew they were heading to Spain to meet his parents; who demanded to meet the woman who had mended their son’s heart after Olalla had left him.
Lucky Fernando had been able to get some time off from Richard during the season since it was nearly the start of May and his parents refused to wait.
Fernando sighed and ran a hand through his hair, he had hoped that everything would go well for them in Madrid; they’d only be good a week and he was resting an injury right now.
“While we are away hopefully… I want us to come back here after the vacation, you know move in and that,” Fernando said making Juan nod his head as they slowly made their way out of the house.
Juan smirked as he recalled the locker room met that before the end of the year was out, Fernando would have asked Riley to marry him.
Everyone was happy for the couple and it was only a matter of time before they took the next step in their speedy relationship.
