Chapter Fifty: This Is It

The two had decided to hold the main part of the wedding in one of the manor's beautiful gardens; Riley smiled at her father as they walked through the garden towards where she would be married.

Riley shifted nervously as she watched Nora, Paula and Mara start walking down the aisle, scattering flower petals as they went, Richard squeezed his daughter's hand.

"It'll be fine," Richard said reassuring her as Erica, Christine and Maria Paz walked down the aisle; Fernando stood at the end of the aisle waiting patiently for Riley, it seemed like forever since he had last seen her.

Finally the wedding march started, Richard took his daughter's hand; he smiled reassuringly at her making the brunette take a deep breath.

"Dad... don't let me trip," Riley begged him, she hated wearing heels at the best of times and wondered why she had allowed Erica to talk her into wearing them to walk across grass.

Fernando felt his breath catch as he finally saw Riley, she looked absolutely beautiful as she moved towards him in her white A-line V-neck straps chapel wedding dress with white pointed heels, and he was wearing a dark suit with a light blue tie.

Once Riley had reached the end of the aisle, she pressed a kiss to her father's cheek as she smiled at him; Fernando took a deep breath as her attention turned to him.

"We are gathered here today in the face of this company, to join together Fernando José Torres Sanz and Riley Nicole Montez in matrimony; which is an honourable and solemn estate and therefore is not to be entered into unadvisedly or lightly, but reverently and soberly," the official started with a kind smile on his lips.

"Into this estate these two persons present come now to be joined. Who gives this woman to be married to this man?" the official asked the couple had decided that that would skip the objections part since they didn't want anything or anyone to get in the way.

"I do," Richard said sniffling as he gave Riley's hand to Fernando, they could see he was holding back his tears as he moved to sit next to Eve, who smiled at him.

"Fernando, do you take Riley to be your lawful wedded wife, to live in the holy estate of matrimony? Will you love, honour, comfort, and cherish her from this day forward, forsaking all others, keeping only unto her for as long as you both shall live?" the official asked as he looked at the footballer who smiled at Riley, he couldn't have been happier that they were here now.

"I do," Fernando said as he smiled, he had waited long enough for this and he wanted Riley as his wife; the official nod before the official turned to Riley, who was smiling.

"Riley, do you take Fernando to be your lawful wedded husband, to live in the holy estate of matrimony? Will you love, honour, comfort, and cherish him from this day forward, forsaking all others, keeping only unto him for as long as you both shall live?" the official said Riley smiled back at Fernando before she nodded, she had no doubts about what she wanted out of her life.

"I do," Riley said making Fernando grin at her; the official smiled at the couple, he had heard their story and they had been through so much to get here to this moment.

"Fernando repeat after me... I, Fernando José Torres Sanz, take thee Riley Nicole Montez to be my wedded wife, to have and to hold from this day forward, for better for worse, for richer or for poorer, in sickness and in health, to love, honour, and cherish, 'til death do us part," the official said which Fernando repeated happily before the official turned to Riley.

"Riley repeat after me... I, Riley Nicole Montez take thee Fernando José Torres Sanz to be my wedded husband, to have and to hold from this day forward, for better for worse, for richer or for poorer, in sickness and in health, to love, honour, and cherish, 'til death do us part," the official said and Riley repeated after him.
