Chapter 17

It's almost night time when they arrived home, they all went to their rooms to rest.

Wendy: Seulgi-yah! Kwaenchana? You were quiet the whole day
Seulgi: I was just thinking...
Wendy: About what?
Seulgi: Nothing
Wendy: You know you can tell me anything right? Is this about Juhyun unnie?

Seulgi widened her eyes

Seulgi: Uhh... Let me just deal with it first, then I'll tell you. I promise!
Wendy: What is it? I'm getting worried
Seulgi: I really can't tell you right now. Please understand Seungwan. Please?

Seulgi then put her hand on Wendy's shoulder. Wendy, who can't say no to anyone especially Seulgi, just nodded. "Ohh arasso"

"Kumawo" Seulgi said still with her sad face and went to the bathroom. She looked so down. It made Wendy feel so sad and worried at the same time. She wants to help her but she just couldn't do anything about it. All she ever wanted was to see Seulgi happy. But she has no idea what's happening so she decided to ask Irene.

Wendy: Unnie!

Wendy knocked on Irene's door

Irene: Son Seungwan! Is that you? It's open. Come in

Irene was sitting on her bed when Wendy came in and walked towards her. "Unnie, I just wanted to ask-"

Irene cut her off "Yes I liked it"

Wendy was shocked from what she heard because it was out of nowhere

Wendy: What?! Liked what?
Irene: I liked your kisses from last night
Wendy: What?! I didn't kiss you! I didn't kiss anyone!

"I'm going to be completely honest here..." Irene confessed

"Son Seungwan, do you want to be my girlfriend?" she asked, hoping that she would not be rejected.

Wendy: U-Unnie... W-what are you even say-

Irene cut her off. "I really loved hugging you. You're the warmest person I know. We should really become roommates again don't you think?"

"Unnie, what's this?" Wendy exclaimed, as her confusion continued to grow. She just couldn't seem to process what's going on

Wendy: Unnie, were you that drunk?
Irene: No. Just... kind of. But you were drunk too right? You smelled like beer
Wendy: Unnie, I didn't drink!

"I must've been really drunk last night" Irene realized, as she recalled the events that had occurred. It was Seulgi who she kissed and spent the night with. Not Wendy.

"Is that why Seulgi had been acting strange this whole time?" Wendy thought

No one spoke, as they each silently processed what's happening

Wendy was the first one to break the silence. "But why... Why would you kiss me anyway?" she asked, still confused

Irene just stared at her blankly, like the answer to that question should've been obvious

"Did you seriously not notice?" Irene asked with a calm voice then she continued "I have always loved you, Seungwan"

There was no trace of a lie or uncertainty in her voice that made Wendy speechless for a second. Until she was reminded that she was here to ask about Seulgi

"W-wha.. H-How, when..." she stuttered, unable to comprehend how this happened

So Irene continued, "Ever since you came into my life, the time you joined SM Rookies. I was hooked, knowing I was going to be able to spend more time with you. Since our trainee days I have only looked at you. It surprised me too, but I couldn't help being drawn to your warm personality. Everything you do had always caught my attention, how can you not notice?" Irene claimed, as she stared desperately at Wendy
