Tunnels

I hadn't seen Liam at all today. When I woke up this morning, he was gone. I know, D-bag move to leave like that, but maybe he had morning practice or something.
I mean, Coach is definitely that
Person to have the entire team be at school super early, he was probably just doing that....
yeah...

"Don't you think this is a bit much in firepower in terms of high school?"
I heard stiles talking from around the corner
I turned and saw him talking to an officer who was about the same height of stiles

"Your dad is the one who issued us these things. And he wouldn't officially say why..."
the deputy said, kinda scratching his head but trying to be as professional as possible

"Okay, well did he say anything unofficially?" Stiles said in his normal dramatic, and flailing way

"Uhh... well no. But we all have a theory"

"Well what's the theory?" I said stepping in. I looked at his name tag and say the name 'rivera' on it, id never even heard of him before

"I shouldn't be talking to you guys... don't you both have class?"

"Class hasn't started" I said
"Come on, what's your theory?" I egged on

He turned his head, looking both ways as if being careful on what to say, he took a deep breathe and closed his eyes tightly
"Do you believe in monster" he asked quietly

Oh no...
"Pshh.... monsters" I said, in a totally obvious way I might add

I heard the bell ring and I sighed in relief
"Ahh, saved by the Bell. Well, gotta go haha"

I made a b-line straight to my class and was surprised by Malia stopping right in front of me and causing me to run into her
"I need you to give a message to Scott for me." She said in a hushed and hurried tone

"Whyyyy don't you tell him yourself?.." I emphasized the 'why'

"Because, I can't. We aren't exactly on talking terms. So I need you to talk to him."

"Alright, What?" I gave in

"You need to tell him that he was right about the tunnels, just tell him that okay?" She reaches for my arm and gripped it, maybe a little too much than she was aware of

"Yeah.. okay" I said, looking into her eyes

"She seemed freaked out" I nearly jumped in the air and turned around totally landing a super strong right cross into someone's face, then brought up my legs to kick them in the chest and sent whoever it was right to the floor

I immediately straightened my body and cupped my mouth with both of my hands and gasped.
Liam had one hand on his face while the other was placed on his chest

"ahh.." he grunted quietly

I saw people staring at me since I had just kicked Liam ass.
Some were laughing while others seemed like they couldn't get away from me fast enough

"Oh my god Liam I am so sorry..." I said, jogging over to him and helping him up

"What the hell was that?" He muffled, still with his hand on his face

"Sorry... you scared me and I just.. reacted" I said, giving a half grinned smile.

"Yeah, I can see that." He said, he picked up his bag from the ground
"I guess I kinda deserved that though"

I let out a small chuckle
"Yes" I simply said
I walked into class and Liam smiled, then had a serious face

"Wait what?" He chased after me
