*Friday morning

Kyla and Joyce spent the night with Mekai. They both wanted to make sure he felt all of their support before he left for the institution in a few hours- which he still knew nothing of.
"This hospital food sucks" he said
"They've been pumping your medicine through the IV, it's not safe to have medicine on an empty stomach" his mom said
"I'll go grab you something from the vending machine" Kyla got up
"No, don't leave" he grabbed her hand
"Babe, I'll be right back" she placed her hand over his
"I'll go get it" his mother stood up and left out
She needed to prepare herself for when the people would come and take her son away, she knew it wouldn't be pretty.
"I can't wait until I'm able to get out of this damn hospital" Mekai looked up at the ceiling
Kyla tucked her lips in and cracked a small smile.
"I was thinking, we should move into the cabin together. Like a full time living together thing. What you think?" He kissed her hand
"You don't think we're too young to be talking about moving in together?" She sat in the small spot beside him
"Hell no, we spend most of our time there anyways."
"You're right...it doesn't sound like a bad idea" she said in all honesty
"We can chill whenever we want, fuck whenever we want, and just vibe together. Dig what I'm sayin?"
"I hear you baby" she pecked his lips
"Hi, we're here to get a Mekai Andrews" three dudes in all white uniforms walked in
"For what?" Mekai sat up
"To transport you to Oakwood"
"I thought you all wouldn't be here until later" Mekai's mom came back in the room
"We had a change of plans, and were going to have to ask you ladies to leave the premises while we do this" one guy rolled a wheelchair in
"Y'all trippin'. I ain't going to no institution" Mekai fanned them off, chuckling "Right ma?"
"Mekai...it's for you to get better" she rubbed his arm
"The fuck?" He snatched away from her "You gone let them take me?"
"Sweetheart, calm down."
"Calm down? You sending me off to the same place they took my pops and you want me to calm down? That's a bunch of bullshit! I ain't going no- Aye, where you going baby?" He noticed Kyla getting up from the bed
"We have to leave the premises, Kai" she grabbed her jacket
"You knew too?" A hurt expression showed on his face that broke Kyla's heart.
"I'm sorry baby, I just want you to get-"
"Stop fucking saying that! I'm perfectly fine!" He snatched the IV from his arm
"Mekai!" Kyla gasped
"You all need to leave!" One of the workers shouted as Mekai got up from the bed
"I ain't going no damn where! Y'all not taking me!" He began throwing stuff
Kyla stood there shocked, wanting to hug him tightly and never let him go.
