"You gonna eat that?" Kyla asked Laura before reaching for her snicker bar
"Are you high? You done ate all of your food, now you headed over to mine" she swatted her hand away
"No, I'm not high. My period is coming soon, I'm just having an increase in my appetite" she shrugged, finally taking the snickers
"Your period hasn't came yet?"
"No, I don't usually come on until the 10th" she munched away
"It's the 17th..."
She stopped chewing and looked up at her friend "Really?" She checked her phone
"Yeah, and we normally come on around the same time. Mine done came and went" Laura stared at her, hinting something
"Why you looking at me like that?" Kyla asked
"You and Mekai use protection?" She eyed her
"Of course we do, what kinda question is that?"
"All the time?" Laura squinted
"We forgot it a few times, but that's nothing." she shrugged
"It only takes one time to get pregnant, ding dong head. You took health class"
"Look, it's only a few days late. Stop making things bigger than what they are, it'll probably be here soon." She rolled her eyes
"What'll be here soon?" Mekai pecked her cheek as he sat beside her
"Hey babe" Kyla smiled hard, thinking of something to come up with "We were just talking about Laura's acceptance letter into NYU"
"Oh, it ain't came yet?" He asked
"Nah, not yet" Laura played along
"I thought you told me it- ouch!" Dominic's sentence was cut short after Laura pinched him
"What's wrong wit' you?"
"You ok baby?" Laura gave him a strong side eye
"Leg cramp" he smiled, halfway getting the hint
"They got a massage place downtown, the girls there work wonders" Mekai suggested with a smirk
"Oh really now?" Kyla stopped eating her snickers and completely turned towards him
"I ain't mean it like that" Mekai had been dealing with her mood swings all week long, he felt an argument coming
"Then what did you mean it like? You ain't never took me to the massage place, what they be massaging, Kai?"
"Baby, calm down." He exhaled loudly
"I bet you're calm when you got bitches rubbing all over you" she tossed her food wrapper at him
"Kyla, sit down and stop trippin'." He smacked his teeth
"Nah, leave me alone right now" she walked off
"You better not go to that damn massage place" Laura said to Dominic before getting up and following Kyla out of the cafeteria

When school was over, Kyla went straight to their house. Mekai had practice so he wouldn't be home till around 7.
But as of now, it's 11:19pm and he still isn't home.
