"First you don't come home, now you not answering your phone. Be prepared to fuckin' argue when you get here" Kyla left her 11th voicemail to Mekai
Dominic and Clinton were home safe and sound, getting their hangovers taken care of. Meanwhile, Mekai still hadn't came back, and they all rode together.
The front door opened a few minutes later, and Kyla flew downstairs. "Wassup baby" Mekai smiled
"Nigga you got some nerve" she folded her arms "Where the hell you been at all night?!"
"I was too drunk to drive, so I told Dom and my dad to catch a Uber. I didn't wanna come home all drunk, so I slept in my car" he explained "I apologize"
"And your phone?" she asked
"It died." He showed her
She was still angry, but the fact that he was being safe and looking out for her feelings softened her up a bit.
"You got a hangover?" she asked
"A nasty one" he groaned
"Come on, let's go take care of it" she led him upstairs
He sat on the bed, plugging his phone up, while she started a warm bath for him, lighting a few candles. She grabbed some aspirin from the medicine cabinet, and a water bottle from the new mini fridge in their room.
"Your bath is ready" she came out the bathroom
"You wanna join me?" He asked
"Hell no" she chuckled "You smell like vomit"
"It's not that bad" he smelled himself
"You're right, it's worse" she covered her nose
"A'ight now" He straight faced her before going in the bathroom
Kyla sat on the bed, watching reruns of Star. She sent Laura and Ms. J a text to let them know Mekai had came home and let them know what happened.
Mekai's phone dinged, signaling he had a text. Normally, she wasn't nosy, but today she wanted to be curious and see who was texting him. She picked up his phone and unlocked it.
Keisha 💦: I had fun last night 😏 -3:26pm
If there was a representation of how mad Kyla was right now, she'd have horns. She snatched his phone off the charger and busted into the bathroom
"I could've sworn your told me you fell asleep in your car, so who the hell is Keisha?"
Mekai's eyes flew open and his relaxation was quickly ended.
"Don't just fuckin' stare at me, who the hell is she?!" Kyla shouted
"Babe, I can explain.." Mekai sighed, getting out of the tub
He didn't want to argue with her while he was butt ass naked in a tub full of water.
"I'm waiting"
"She was one of the dancers and she needed a ride home" he wrapped the towel around his waist
"So you giving rides to strippers now?"
"The club was closing and she-"
"She could've gotten a fuckin' Uber! She could've called a cab! She could've caught a bus! SHE COULD'VE FUCKIN' WALKED FOR ALL I CARE!"
"I was just-"
"And what does she mean by she had a good time? Seems like you gave her more than a car ride" she didn't want to hear what he was trying to do, she wanted to know one thing and one thing only
He sighed "I was really drunk last night...I went back to her place and she gave me head, that's it I swear.
Without another word, Kyla's fist connected with his nose, making him groan.
"FUCK YOU!" she continued hitting him in other places
"Aye! Stop it" he grabbed her hands and pushed her against the bathroom wall
"Get off me!" She moved around, still trying to fight him
"Calm yo ass down, this ain't good for the baby" he demanded, still holding her fist
She stopped her movements and stared at him. She was honestly shocked that he knew about her being pregnant.
"Let go of me" her eyes started filling up with tears
"You not gone hit me?" He asked
She shook her head no and he moved. She kept her word and didn't hit him anymore. He checked his nose to see it it was bleeding. It wasn't, but it'd be sore as hell for a few days.
Tears slowly dropped down her face "Who told you?"
"Dominic..."
"Laura and her big ass mouth" the only way Dominic had to know was because Laura told him
"Why didn't you tell me?" He asked her
"Because I don't know what I wanna do yet!" she wiped her eyes "Especially now..."
"You thinking about killing my seed?" He asked
"Oh please, from the way you acted last night, me or your 'seed' don't mean shit to you" she mocked him
"It was a fuckin' accident!" He defended himself
"So your dick just slipped into her mouth?! That's bullshit! How could you do that knowing you got me at home?!"
"You wouldn't have found out if you weren't being fuckin' nosy!"
"So as long as I keep quiet, let you do your dirt, and play housewife, everything's cool?"
"I'm not saying that" he sighed, becoming frustrated
"Then what the hell are you saying Mekai?!"
"I'm saying that it was an honest accident that won't happen again. It was a drunk mistake" he reached for her
She jerked away from him "..I need some time to think. I'm gonna stay at my mom's for a few days" her tone was a lot calmer
"A'ight" he nodded, understanding where she was coming from "I love you Ky"
"I love you too" she grabbed her keys and phone
He sat on the bed as he watched her walk out the door.
She ain't coming back
She will. Our love is too strong
We'll see.
Mekai headed into the bathroom and took his pills to help him calm down a little. Even though he wasn't completely mentally stable, he'd be damned if he lost self control and ended up back in Oakwood.
