sometimes when i'd look at her, i'd know what lovers meant when they said they had found the one. it seemed like she was inexplicably perfect for me in every way possible. and i was never much a believer of destiny nor fate but i was certain that the universe first exploded and the galaxies and supernovas came into being just so my love for her could be written in the stars.
i've always had an immense fascination for astrology, but for some reason looking into her eyes held so much more vastness and possibility than looking up at the simple night sky ever could. i loved the way she made me feel, even if she never knew herself. even if nothing was to come out of it. even if this was only meant to be a friendship.
but if i had to restart my life and meet her again for the first time, i don't think i could've loved her any different than the way i do now. the confusion and ambivalence is always going to be apart of it. so i think, even if i get my heart broken, it's going to be worth it. after all, isn't that what makes it love in the first place?
