You gave abundant showers, O God; you refreshed your weary inheritance.

—Psalm 68:9

Is your heart downcast? Why do you feel troubled? This world has so much heartache.

Our families carry wounds, friends let us down, loved ones pass away, as it may seem as if life is too hard to handle.

Perhaps today you are trying your best to fight against despair, but your prayers feel heavy.

The weight of this struggle is dragging you downand you're not sure if you have enough strength to get back up.

You feel tired and discouraged.

Take heart, for the Lord will rescue you.

You can let that burden slide off your back; He promises to carry your heartache, your shame, and your sorrows.

In the middle of this storm, remember that God promises to never leave or forsake youand He means it.

Find rest, dear one, in Christ alone.

Prayer: Lord, I'm no match for this life's trials. Please let me rest and comfort me with your presence.
