I've been stripped of my clothes
along with my dignity
and now I'm helpless
because of your villainy
To lay on a bed
is an act of indulgence
but when I try sleeping
I feel utter reluctance
You've taken from me
all that I once held
and with a quick notion
you have completely excelled
I am shivering naked
both in my mind and my soul
you have replaced my resilience
and presented a lack of control
My body is a cage
and I plead behind bars
"let me be free"
so I'm one with the stars
You've ruined my being
in more ways than one
and I can't escape
no matter where I run
Stripped of my trust,
my love, and respect
I can no longer feel
you have left me so very wrecked
I will not thank you
nor forgive you and your men
instead I pray to the heavens
that I will one day be whole again.
