Wayo POV

"I don't think I can go on anymore."

It didn't register in my head what P'Pha said. Is he teasing me again? "P-P'Pha," I nervously asked with an awkward smile. He's gonna laugh and tell me he's joking any second now.

"I realized during the semester break that what we had was just out of curiosity. I'm indeed straight. I like girls, Yo," P'Pha said straightforwardly - without hesitation, without remorse. Suddenly, it doesn't sound like a joke anymore. My smile started to fade as I look down, away from his gaze. I couldn't believe what I'm hearing. This can't be true, I know he loves me.

"P-P'Pha, we've been to-together for 2 years now, how ... how can you say that," I whispered in short breaths, while staring at the ground.

He remained quiet for a few seconds, but it felt like hours as I try to wrap my mind around what's happening. I can feel my body sweating and shaking. My heart is beating rapidly to the point it hurts. I can taste something bitter in my mouth, which is starting to feel dry. No, there's no way P'Pha would do this.

I shake my head frantically and look up at him while forcing a smile, although I can feel my eyes welling up already. Before I can say anything, P'Pha looked at me coldly in the eyes and said, "I don't love you, Wayo."

I was stunned as the tears finally start to fall. I opened my mouth to say something, but no words came out. What am I going to say anyway? My mind went blank in an instant. What do you say to someone who doesn't love you? Do I say how hurt I am? Is it even measurable? I just stared at him blankly. The only sign of emotion were the tears that streamed down my cheeks.

"Not anymore," he added.

RIIIIIIIIIIIINNNGGGGG!

The sound of the bell snapped me out of my thoughts. "Class, don't forget to read pages 245-270. It might only be the 3rd week since the start of the second semester, but remember that you guys are already in your 3rd year. It'll only get harder from here on. Got it?" the professor said, giving her final instructions before dismissing the class. All the students excitedly stand up to head for lunch.

"E'Yo, let's go na," Montry says pulling me out of my seat. I lazily stand up and follow them to the canteen.

As we were walking to an empty table near the chicken-rice stall, I unconsciously turned my gaze to the table at the middle of the canteen. "Ai'Yo! Fix yourself. Look at you crying again," my bestfriend Ming says as he walks towards me, handing me a cup of Pink Milk. Huh? When did these tears fall? I wipe my eyes and cheeks as Ming rubs my back and pushes me gently to the table where the fairy angel gang is.
