"(Y/N), could you come here for a minute?" Clara's voice echoed from another room. I stopped washing the dishes, and walked to where Clara was located. She was at the entrance, and was putting on a coat over her.
I walked up to her, and waited for what she had to tell me. She looked at me and smiled. "There you are. Okay, so I'll be going out for awhile. I have some business to attend to. I don't know how long I'll be gone, so watch Joshua while I'm away." She explained.
"Yes, Clara." I answered. "Great, I'm leaving right now. Joshua is upstairs in his room, so go and keep him company until I get back." She says, opening the door.
"Of course, Clara." I say, watching her as she walked outside. "Thank you, (Y/N). Goodbye!" She says, waving at me. "Goodbye, Clara." I replied, shutting the door behind her.
I turned around and headed upstairs to Joshua's room. I found the door that led to his room, and opened it slowly.
Joshua was laying down on the floor, coloring in a coloring book. He looked up at me when he heard me come in. I walked in, and closed the door behind me.
"Hello, Joshua. Your mother left, so I'm going to keep you company while she's away. Is that alright with you?" I ask, tilting my head.
"I guess..." He mumbles, and continued on coloring. I sat down in front of him, and watched him color in silence.

"Are you always this quiet?" Joshua asked me, not looking up from his coloring book. I was still sitting in front of him, and I blinked at his question.
"There is nothing to say. You have not given me any instructions, so there is no reason for me to say or do anything." I explained. He stopped coloring, and just stared at the paper in front of him.
"Is everything alight, Joshua?" I ask, watching him carefully. He placed down his crayon on the paper, and looked up at me.
"Hey...can you grab me something to drink? I'm thirsty." Joshua asks. I stood up and began to walk towards the door. "Of course." I say, and opened the door.
"Wait, never mind. I'm not thirsty anymore." He calls out. I closed the door, and turned around to see Joshua standing up. Now, I was just standing there silently.
"Could...could you bring me that toy over there? The car one." He asked, watching me intently. I walked over to the toy car, and picked it up. When I was just about to walk over to him, he shook his head at me.
"I changed my mind, I don't want it." He says, and I gently placed the toy car back onto the floor.
"Wow...so you do listen to anything I say." I heard him mumble. "Of course, I'm your android after all." I say, walking to him.
"Do you mind if I touch your hand?" He asked, tilting his head up at me. "Yes, you can." I replied, and held out my hand to him. He hesitantly reached his own hand out, and gently touched my hand.
"Whoah, your hand is warm! It feels like a real human!" Joshua exclaimed, smiling widely.
I looked down at our intertwined hands, and that weird but nice feeling came back.
What's going on with me?
