Kaneki was surprised by the sudden scene Touka just made. But he felt somewhat more closer than he ever will. A hug from Touka. She never did that to Haise, he thought. He blushed at a dream of him and Touka having kids together, kissing, loving and most of all, dying together. "Guess I'll get to work." He said, boosted with confidence and self confidence. He made some coffee and boy the customers loved it. Yoshimaru was smiling how Kaneki is making more customers come. "Hey whoever made this beautiful and spectacular coffee! You're the best! A great start! I'm off to work!" The customer shouted after leaving the cafe.

The workers couldn't help but smile, finally a customer shouting out how good the coffee was. "You done well Kaneki." The manager nodded. "Thanks." He smiled. Touka thought it was sweet that Kaneki was actually having a good time. That hug she gave him came out of nowhere. She just thought it would comfort the both of them and it worked. She was actually not stressed anymore. She was moving every muscle in her body. Her hands, her feet, her legs, her fingers, her neck, her smile. They all were working together...

She wrote something on her notepad and gave it to Kaneki which surprised him. "Yes." He said. He couldn't help but felt important. They all got back to work till it was closing time. The sign said "CLOSED" as all the workers stretched their bodies and cleaned the cafe up. "Phew, another day of working tomorrow." Roma sweat a bit. "Yeah that's just how life goes, you work till you die and you have to survive as well." Nishiki complained. "But hey at least we're enjoying life." Kaya said. The bell rung on the door, "Sorry we're clos-."

A little girl with brown hair that was wet appeared. "Hinami!" Touka grabbed a bunch of dry towels as she dried her hair. Hinami? Kaneki thought. He had no clue who she is nor what was going on. "This is what happens when you run away for a week Hinami. Please don't do that again, we don't wanna lose you like we lost your parents." Touka hugged her. "I'm sorry Onee chan." Hinami cried. "It's alright. You're still a child." "But I said horrible things to you and ran away." "Don't worry, I knew you didn't mean those, you're parents died after all." Touka comforted her.

"Eh? Who's that?" Hinami pointed, as everyone looks at Kaneki. "Who me? Oh I'm Ken Kaneki, the recent employee." He introduced himself. "Oh you smell like a hu-." Touka covered her mouth and whispered something that Kaneki couldn't hear. "R-Really?!" Hinami whispered, Touka nodded. Kaneki didn't say a thing, he didn't want to ruin a girl's privacy talk. The gang went back to sweeping, cleaning, mopping and arranging. "Touka, who is Hinami?" Kaneki asked. "Hinami is our friend's daughter. The rest... I can't tell you." Touka kept the secret that they all were ghouls beside Kaneki.

"Oh okay, I understand." Kaneki knew it was a tragedy scene Hinami experienced. It also involved her parents that he really doesn't want to know about. As it was almost night time, they all went to their rooms and had a good sleep.
