Hoseok's POV

I was still waiting for Taehyung to get out of the shower, I was worried since he was taken an awfully long time.

Should I go check on him?

I decide to hop off his bed, taking slowly steady steps towards his bathroom door that was just down the hallway.

I brace myself, giving it a light knock, "Tae?" I question, trying not to seem so worried incase I frighten him.

"Yeah?" He shout back, his voice sounding a tad strained. I could tell he must have been crying. I don't blame him, it has been a lot to deal with even if he was only gone two months, he still went through a lot.

"You okay buddy? You've been in there an awfully long time." I ask, there was a pause before he answers, "I'm fine...I'll be out the now."

I let out a soft sigh before retreating back to his room. It was a decent size, it looked like any other teenage boy's bedroom. I chew on my lower lip while sitting on his bed.

A knock at the door brought me back to reality, "Taehyung?" A feminine voice calls out, opening the door ajar to find only myself inside.

"He's still in the shower," I inform his mom, a little uncomfortable being around his parents since I basically bombarded into their home.

"Oh okay." His mom spoke softly, nodding her head slightly. I had expected her to walk back out, not really wanting to have a conversation with me since I'm practically a stranger to her.

Yet I'm surprise when she makes her way inside the room more, popping herself down on the bed beside me.

A comfortable silence sits over us before she speaks, "I may not know you well enough yet Hoseok." She takes a pause, grabbing my hand into her delicate, smaller ones, "but I'll have you know if Taehyung trusts you then we trust you. You must have been scared being alone like that for so long, I can't imagine how petrifying it must have been." She looks down, a light sniffle coming from her, I could tell she was trying to hold back her tears.

"You watched over our baby and for that we will always be indebted to you...I want you to know that you are now part of our family." I couldn't believe what I was hearing, this woman who hardly knows me, accepts me as part of her family.

Family...a word I never truly knew of, my parents never treated me as their own son more as an accident that they couldn't get rid of until now.

I couldn't hold back my tears, letting them fall down my cheeks and off my chin while a wide smile takes over my expression, "thank you." I croak, "thank you so much."

Mrs Kim flashes her own smile similar to Taehyung's as she pulls me in for a tight squeeze. It felt strange yet comforting, I melted into her touch, it was like the same feeling I got whenever Na-eun used to hug me.

That thought alone only caused more tears to fall, by the time Taehyung was out, dressed and back inside his room, his mom and I were both a crying mess.

"Hyung? Mom?" He questions, watching as we pull away, wiping the streaks of clear wet lines off our faces.

His mom smiles over at him, getting up and smothering the blonde haired boy into a tight hug, "I missed you so much." She whispers into his ear before giving him a kiss on his forehead.

She moves away from him, walking towards the door, "you both have an appointment tomorrow afternoon at a therapy clinic." She pauses, her lips turning into a sad smile, "you might never fully get over the past but at least you can move on from it with the right amount of help. Goodnight boys," and with that she leaves us.
