how you smirked
at me which made my heart flutter?

how we danced in the rain without any care?
how you embraced me
and tangled your hands in my coffee-coloured hair?
how we made stupid jokes
which other people won't get and simply stare?
how our connection
was so strong, so beautiful, and so, so rare?
do you remember how I used to believe in fantasies?

how we used to get lost in each other's eyes?
how we laughed and
ignored all the whispers about us by our allies?
how you looked at me as
if I was someone who could make you hypnotize?
how you confirmed that
these little things were all fake and left me to paralyse?
