(n.) the fear of going to school.★ ★ ★
she used to close her beautiful eyes
and wonder her unrealistic illusions
she tried to pretend a cheerful life
because the reality is full of confusionswishing to find the man of her life
who would treat her like a princess
that's what young girls are taught
to be pretty and damsels in distressbut now she knows the bitter truth
one can't sit quietly in a spot full of wars
she is wise now but no one can stop her
from dreaming of her place in the starsshe used to believe in those bedtime tales
but those happy endings were just myths
she was only a child just like you and me
excited merely to get various birthday giftsshe used to come up with silly questions
and whined if no one gave a proper answer
expecting her friends to stay by her side
betrayal wasn't really in her chapterbut now the rainbows are black and white
now all her friends are drinking in the bars
while she gazes at the gorgeous night sky
still wondering what's her place in the stars★ ★ ★
you are still allowed to dream.
with tonnes of love,
