19. Goodbye

I wake up to an empty bed.
I look next to me and see Lucas's phone so he obviously has to be here.

I go to the bathroom and wash my face , put a robe on to feel fancy and walk downstairs.

Still no Lucas.
But there is turkey bacon.
So j stop and eat that and that's when Lucas appears.

"Really? You'll eat bacon instead of looking for me and worrying. " Lucas rolls his eyes and kisses my temple.

"Yeah pretty much. " I chuckle and hug him from behind his waist.

"Riley needs to talk to us. She says it's important." Lucas said kissing my temple.

I nod and go back in our room after I finish my food.

I put on yoga pants and an oversized , pink Floyd sweatshirt. My hair goes into a messy high bun and I don't feel like putting on makeup.

I walk back down and get pulled into Lucas.

"You should stay in this look forever. " I chuckle and kiss him. Lasting about 3 minutes.

I grab the keys for the car and house and we head out for Riley's.

"This traffic sucks. " I groan honking the horn.

"It's New York. " he says oblivious.
I roll my eyes and lay my elbow on the car door.

"Let's move it people!" I shout in the car.

Lucas turn up the music to block me out. I chuckle and let out a big sigh.

After an hour we finally get to Riley's place.

"Hey losers!"I chant tossing my purse on the couch.

"Hey kids. " Topanga says turning away from the stove.

"So, we have some news." She says leading us to the couch

"We're moving. To Nevada. " Riley sits on one of the chairs with Auggie on her lap, both with tear stained faces.

"Oh. " I say quietly.
I glance over at Riley which causes me to cry. Seeing her cry.

"But your still going to NYU right? "
It was silent.

"You're going to NYU, right? Why won't you answer. "

She shakes her head no.
"I had to drop my application. I'm going somewhere else. "

My eyes water and I go over to my forever best friend and hug her.

"But I'll be back for the birth of your little nugget. " she chuckles pulling me back in a hug.

"Good. Or I would kill you. " I say and wipe away my tears.

"Well, you ready Lucas?" I ask turning around. He nods.

"I'll see you later. Before you go. " we wave and me and Lucas are out the door towards the car.

I can't believe I'm going to lose my best friend.
