I straightened my apron and plastered on a fake smile, grabbing an enormous stack of menus. I walked over to the corner of the semi crowded diner to where four tables had been pushed together. About fourteen teenagers sat there.

The boy closest to the outside had unmade black hair and bright sea green eyes. His arm rested over the shoulder of a girl with curly blonde hair and stunning grey eyes. [Percy and Annabeth]

Next to them was a girl with spikey black hair and charged blue eyes, her head gently resting on the arm of a boy with black hair and unbelievably dark eyes. [Thalia and Nico]

Next was a tall guy with close cropped blonde hair and blue eyes, hands interlocked with a girl with uneven chestnut hair and ever changing eyes. [Jason and Piper] The couples seemed to go on and on.

A small girl with almost golden eyes and dark, chocolatey skin holding hands with an big Asian looking boy. [Hazel and Frank] A short boy who resembled a Latin elf with a girl with dark eyes and a long side braid. [Leo and Reyna] Two mischievous looking boys with sky blue eyes and curly brown hair, each with a pretty girl on their side. The taller one was next to a girl with dark brown hair and spring green eyes. [Travis and Katie] The shorter one was next to a girl with forest green eyes and dark hair with a few streaks of color in it. [Connor and Lou Ellen]

They were loud, but nobody really cared. Everyone there seemed to be laughing and joking around. I was just standing around the corner, observing them, however, they didn't notice.

I came out from being the wall, smiling for real this time and approached them, cheerfully saying, "Hello. Welcome to Bea's Diner. What can I get you today?"
