i wasn't on the right state of mind that night when i called her. but she didn't seem to care as i hear her light giggles to my little jokes and some cringey pick-up lines on the phone. and then i imagined her smiling, that little mole on the crook of her nose, and the way her eyes light up as she laughs.
i told her i like her.
i didn't intend to end the conversation too soon, but i just couldn't find anymore words to say, i spilled the only thing spinning around inside my head as i think of her.
"goodnight, kyungwan-ah." was what i heard before a beep.
it took me a while before i realize she called me by my birth name.
