she told me she bailed on her performance again, she doesn't feel like dancing everytime her mother is watching. her mother would always yell at her for not meeting her expectations, though she was doing her best everytime. but it was fine, she said. she was used to it, to the yelling, to the slapping, and to the never ending disappointment. she said she'll never be good enough for her mother.
i told her she is. i told her how magical it is when i saw her dancing in front of a small crowd, how passionate she is, how good enough she is for me. and she would just smile and say "thank you."
