i remember mina telling me about herself. apparently, she really doesn't have that much friends in real life. ever since a child, her mother would refuse to let her out and play with some kids. she only attended school from primary school to junior high, and then homeschooled after. she doesn't have friends in her ballet classes too. pets even, she couldn't keep one. it was a sad reality, but she was used to it.
she said it was the first time she actually tried talking to a stranger when she first flew to korea for a ballet performance 2 years ago. and she said she was more comfortable talking to people from another country.
and actually, i was the very first friend she made after coming to seoul. the very first to last this long, and the very first she opened up to.
i felt grateful for it. but hearing the word friend wasn't music to my ears. i realized this day that what i wanted to have with her wasn't just being friends. i realized, i wanted more.
