070 × so this is goodbye

"where are you?" mina stated over the phone as soon as i answer her call. the show must've been finished by this time.

"mina-ssi." i called, and she hummed as a reply. "i have something to tell you."

"what is it." she asked immediately. i noticed the tone of her voice, i gues she's in a middle of a rush, with a noisy background audible.

i then hopped off the car and grabbed my suitcase at the back of the car. "i'm sorry for leaving halfway through the show. i really am."

i noticed the sudden silence over the phone. "what do you mean?"

i silently sighed from inside. "i'm going back to seoul right now."

the silence breaks my heart. it makes me think as if i'm a person of importance to her and that my sudden leave makes her lost at words, but it's not the case.

"i really hate you, jeongyeon."

i'm surprised that what i heard made me smile. "ah, you're making me say it, mina." i said, my smile at its finest.

"making you say what?" she asks, like totally forgetting how she said she hated me.

"i love you."

there, i finally said it.
 
"i love you, i love you, i love you--"

"jeongyeon, stop." i don't know if she was embarassed, or is close to crying.

"i just love you so much, mina. and it hurts, leaving like this without saying goodbye." but in all honesty, i was the one who was almost crying.

"then don't say goodbye." i could hear her whisper loud enough for me to hear. "you still owe me one date."

i smiled, holding back my stubborn tears. "you're right."

even though i was trying to end things between her, it was her who makes me think that we will still see each other again, that this is not the end of us, that it was just about to start.

till then, i await for her answer.
