The Daughter of Fire and Ice

Chapter 5

           

"So, you guys have a lot of magic here in Auradon?" Mal asks. "Like wands and things like that? Is she trying to be obvious here?

"Yeah, it exists of course, but It's pretty much retired." Ben replies. "Most of us here are just ordinary mortals."

"Who happened to be kings and queens." I say sarcastically

"That's true." Audrey interrupted. "Our royal blood goes back hundreds of years." I stare at her again questioning her stupidity, she just looks at the ground.

"Doug." Ben says to a guy with glasses walking upstairs. "Doug, come down." "This is Doug, he's going to help you with your class schedules and show you the rest of the dorms." He pauses and looks at me "I'll see you later, okay?" He looks at the rest of the VK's. "And If there is anything you need, feel free to..."

"Ask Doug," Audrey interrupts, again. I roll my eyes and stare at her. Her and Ben walk away, Audrey grabbing Ben's hand and him knocking it away. I don't know why but I smile when he does.

"Hi, guys. I'm Dopey's son, as in dopey, doc, bashful, happy, grumpy, sleepy, and... Heigh-ho," he paused and looked at Evie.

"Evie," she pauses dramatically "Evil queen's daughter."

"Okay. So, about your classes, I, uh, put in the requirements already..." he pauses while Evie flirts with him. "History of woodsmen and pirates, safety rules for the Internet and, uh, remedial goodness 101."

"I need history of pirates? I think I know more about pirates then some teacher," I said obnoxiously some girls nearby look at me scared.

"Let me guess, remedial goodness is a new class?" Mal asks. "Come on, guys, let's go find our dorms." Mal heads up the stairs Doug just came down and Jay, Evie and Carlos follow her, but I just stand with Doug.

"Oh, uh, yeah, your dorms are that way, guys," Doug said to Mal, Evie, Jay and Carlos "Dopey, doc, bashful, happy, grumpy, sleepy, and..." he said under his breath.

"Sneezy," I said following Mal and Evie to our dorm.

Mal and Evie's bags are in our room waiting for them. My handbag is enchanted so I don't need any other bag. I get a blue rock candy stick and start eating it. I ignore what Mal and Evie say and lay on my bed, I put my head phones in and fall asleep.

I dream that I'm in the isle, I brought back the wand and have rallied the villains, me, Uma, Harry and Gil were leading them to the barrier. I broke down the barrier and Harry leaned in, wrapped his hands around my waist and kissed me.

I wake up to Mal yelling and shaking me. I pull out one of my headphones.

"WHAT?" I fire at her.

"We're going to the boy's room to plot," she fires back.

"Whatever," I say rolling my eyes.

We walk to the boy's room and Mal see's the stuff Jay stole. I grab a phone while he isn't looking.

"What's the point?" Mal asks Jay.

"It's like buying whatever I want, except it's free," Jay replies. I take some money off the pile.

"Stealing is the only way to live," I say to mal.

Jay pulls me into a hug and I pinch his wallet, but he had stolen his stuff back.

"Ha I got my stuff back," he shouts victoriously.

"Oh really?" I ask with my hands to my chest. "Where is your wallet then?"

He fumbles around looking for it. I grab it from my jean pocket and wave it in his face.

"I'm a pirate love, what did you think was going to happen?" I tease.

He looks at me confused, then angry. Why? Harry says love all the time, so I must have picked it up. Jay looked like he was going to punch something.
